from the first five pages i have read this looks like a killer issue. something idw should pay close attention to. more happens in these pages than two-three of the regular title. i'm exagerating but not by much. it was awesome seeing the blue shirts and the car chase was killer. i love the entire idea behind this non-arc. oh, and seeing the tele-viper was cool, as well. here's hoping larry decides to use some of the newer charcters hasbro is producing. that's half the fun as long as its not mandated.

This issue was awesome. It takes the old ARAH and pulls it into the modern age. Non-stop adreline rush. No time to stop and breath. Hama's old "military speak" is even better now then it was before. This is probably one of his best works.
It made me even like Duke.

Damn, it's out already? I'll have to check this out tomorrow, but do I finish the classic trades before I read it? That is the question.

Really you don't. You know enough about the characters and the concept that you can just pick it up and go. There is no DIRECT reference to anything from the Marvel run (unlike #155 1/2 that had some). This book starts out with action and ends with action. Technically it's out tomorrow.

As long as you know that prior to this issue, the Joe team was disbanded, you'll be fine. It's a great starting point. Quote:
