Origins started good but is losing steam. The 2nd Joe operation wasn't very good at all. I'm looking forward to the single issue origins of the different characters: Beachhead, Ripcord, Snow Job.

Free Comic Book Day is in May I believe, so I think #156 will come out in summer/winter 2010.

I read the first couple of issues and I couldn't really get into it. I like story arcs, and I have no problem with a slow build up. That said, its still a comic book that is sold an issue at a time. I think every issue of a comic, any comic, should stand its own to some degree. Even if its part of a larger story.
However, I absolutely loved the Chuckles storyline from the Cobra comic. |

For me, the Chuckles story was perfect. They got the story done in 4 issues and it was a good story.
The core GI Joe story is moving a little slower than I would like and the ads and price have kept me from buying single issues, but I think it reads well as a TPB. I really don't buy single issues anymore. I'm not the kind of guy that gets to the comic shop every month anyway, so I figure I can wait a few more months and save some money on the TPB.

I've bought the TPB's aswell. I've no desire to collect the single issues, it's alot of hassle I don't need or have time for.

I'm sticking with the new stuff but getting incredibly bored. Nothing compares to the classic Marvel run. Bring on Hama's new ARAH already!!!
