Strange Story.
The only winning move is not to read. How about a nice comic of G.I. Joe?

I doubt Aquaman will be backing. Johns is setting up Mera to be "Aquawoman" and has stated in interviews that she's going to be one of the characters he focuses on in 2010. I think it would make sense for Arthur to remain dead and some of the others to be resurrected (I actually hope none of the ones that were dead prior to the start of BN get resurrected, I think it would be stupid and ruin the story), and Mera adopts Arthur's role as a way or honoring him.
Barry and Hal will remain, that's obvious. The only questions are what happens to Martian Manhunter (I'm going to say he lives, dumb, but it's looking like it's leaning that way), Aquaman (remains dead), the Hawks (remains dead), Damage (remains dead) and any others that were killed by Black Lanterns. But really, if they allow one BL to resurrect, they better have a good reason why that one is allowed but the rest of the BLs (all millions of 'em) won't be.

I want'em all back.
Complete do over. "Fix" death and next time think it through before they off someone. The Hawks ressurect as part of their characters, and really, what's the point of putting Damage on All Stars if he's just going to be dead anyway? I don't mind Mera as Aquawoman, but having grown up with Superfriends I'd like Arthur as Aquaman as well. |

About to run out and grab #8, but on thing that kinda bugs me about these things are the tie-in issues. I don't tend to get many, or any, but stuff happens in the Green Lantern series, for example, that makes you feel like you're missing big chunks of story. When you actually read a tie in, you realize that, of course, it isn't going to have anything very consequential to the story as a whole. The last issue of GL was intriguing enough for me to pick up, and it was very interesting, but everything that happens within the story basically resets to the end of BN #7.
It's just the way these things are I guess. Final Crisis was an awkward mess to me, so maybe I missed a lot. I'd like to pick up the GLs since they're fun regardless. |

Final Crisis relayed on the tie-ins way to much, that's why it was so awkward and horrible.
Don't really need to read the tie-ins with BN. I haven't and I'm doing just fine.

If you read both these threads, you kind of give away the ending.
