Like Hasbro’s prohibition on the hood? CC is an evil terrorist wearing a blue clan hood kind of makes sense. Give it enough time and the plot of renegades will be the norm, with the Joe’s being hunted criminals and cobra being a trusted brand.

I don’t disagree with that as a plot device - just when the companies controlling the brand a times seem anti-soldier, but that’s my interpretation which is subjective.

Chuck Dixon's IDW run wasn’t bad. IDW origins and through cobra civil war were good runs. They felt like the marvel comics always pro soldier but not necessarily pro government. I felt that way about the renegades cartoon too.

I thought Hama had wanted to continue the Marvel continuity and IDW gave him free reign to do that.
It's hard to comment on pro-soldier/anti-government without thinking about current events. |
