You think a site dedicated to comics would get the description right. First appearance of Storm Shadow not Snake Eyes!
Retards. I felt the need to tell them. This angered me greatly! |

the funny thing about comics, are they are just like baseball cards. they always have a price tag and no buyers. they only value they have is no value.no different than ebay. what are you willing to pay.

I found this article on a comic book price guide website:
"A CGC-certified 9.8 copy of G.I. Joe, A Real American Hero #21 featuring the first appearance of Snake Eyes sold for $3,050 on eBay after receiving 22 bids. The CGC Census notes a total of 259 certified copies with four copies tied as the highest graded in 9.8. The book has always been a favorite with collectors, but the comic book title is seeing additional interest due to the upcoming film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra." Here is the link: ComicsPriceGuide.com News | G.I. Joe #21 CGC 9.8 Sells For Record $3,050 Can anybody verify this or provide a link to the auction? This is incredible. |

I've never understood the collector market for comics beyond wanting to have the stories. I suppose its like toys, but its just not my thing to buy something meant for enjoyment and squirel it away to get more money for it years later.
If you want the story so baddly, get the trade. Just my .02

CGC grading is a scam.
But hey, if somebody wants to dish out that much cash for a comic (that had large first and second printings and a third printings to boot, and is readily available in at least two trade paperbacks) just because a company sealed it up in a plastic case and slapped an "official" grade on it - more power to 'em. :b Last edited by Jonathan; 05-22-2009 at 05:11 PM.. |

it only costs 3-4 dollars here...wrapped in plastic with backboard and in good condition...
Actually, comics don't have that much value here, especially GI JOE... |
