Do any of you read Kieron Gillen's "Uber"?
This is my first read. The Walking Dead and anything Joe come next. "April 30th, 1945...the end of the Third Reich...or perhaps not." Uber tells the story of a secret SS genetics program that actually ends up creating enhanced humans. The Germans obviously throw them in to battle with devastating results. There is no conventional counter-measure for the Ubermenschen. Instead of an atomic arms race, imagine an arms race to create new and more powerful enhanced humans. Luckily, Gillen didn't write these super soldiers to be like Superman, there are limitations and weaknesses. This is a very intelligent and well-researched story, not cheap or cheesy in any way...which is the norm it seems when folks write about the Nazis these days. Definitely movie material, I've heard LionsGate Entertainment has already approached Avatar Press about the rights. I highly recommend it.
