I'm 36 and haven't read a comic book since I was 15 years old. I would like to get into a Joe comic series that isn't TOO far along that I'll have to spend 50 dollars just to catch up. I am also a HUGE fan of anything and everything COBRA. So if there is a current, Cobra-heavy series running, please let me know what it is. (I PREFER Cobra Commander to Serpentor and a large helping of Crimson Guard wouldn't hurt!) :P
But like the Pirate's Code: These are more like guidelines. Thanks in advance... COOBRAAA!!! |

Gi Joe: Cobra is my favorite. The art is just okay, but the stories are some of the best Joe stuff ever written IMHO.
G.I. Joe: Cobra,IDW Publishing,G.I. Joe Comic Book Archive G.I. Joe Cobra Vol. 2,IDW Publishing,G.I. Joe Comic Book Archive and of course the original 155 issue marvel run and 28 special missions.

GI Joe COBRA for sure. The Marvel Special Missions series is good too.

How about a past series that is Cobra-focused with higher quality artwork? A "shallow" read, if you will...

Cobra had good artwork and was very Cobra centric. It's been canceled though.
Not many appearances by the Crimson Guard in the IDW series but Tomax plays a huge role in the Cobra series. Picking up G.I. Joe or Special Missions would work, both have only 9-10 issues out and G.I. Joe especially had more or a new reader friendly relaunch.
