I skimmed the 1st issue. It didn't really grab me. I want to read the SM with Zartan and the Dreadnoks though. I still need to catch up years of IDW books.

I've got to say this book is growing on me. I just read issue 4 and like it a lot - that and issue 3 are definitely solid reads.

I'm not sold on the need to reinvent the Joes and how they look (espcially with traditional outfits for the bad guys). But if you can get past that the storytelling is very good.

Can't dump what I have yet to buy.
I've said since the beginning I wasn't going to read this title. I'll stick with ARAH, Cobra(Files) & Special Missions. Though, I am getting tired of the Scarlett/Mainframe 'side story'.

I didn't like it at all. Not sure why, but it seemed amateurish to me.

As long as I got Mr.Hama's ARAH I am good, but I have read issues 3 & 4 and may keep on reading it. Again though ARAH is my Joe comic

Why would you skim a comic? It takes maybe 10 min to read it.

To say something about that blue ninja thing int he marvel continuity...the onyl thing abd about it was them offing poor billy/ that guy was drastically underused and underrated and it just felt like his death was done just to kill him off. He shoulda been kept alive. other than that (just waiting for them to off jinx and such so they can have all verses similar, kinda like what marvel is doing by trying to make the regular comics inline with the ultimate verse) but otherwise the marvel continuation is good.

anyway...I've only read the first two issues. Issue one was very bad. Issue two was a lot better but only because I felt a bit more emotional depth was added, the cartooniness was toned down, and there was more fan service. But...I still have many complaints. much of the dialogue was awful, seeing croc master, and the Iron Grenadiers was nice eye candy and I'm fine with window dressing, BUT in this case it was odd window dressing. Why would Croc Master be there since he died in Cobra. I mean, I know people have said that he obviously survived but I feel like him being alive again sorta poops on that storytelling if we assume it's the same character. and why are the Iron Grenadiers with the Baroness?

Personally I think people would be more forgiving of its shortcomings if certain things were changed, most notably all of their costumes to something a bit more akin to their iconic styles. The self awareness of its changes also need to go. It's trying too hard in this sense to be funny and it's missing the mark. I mean, since they are taking a page from Marvel with the Avengers why not take a page from DC too with World's Finest. They wrote out Power Girl's New 52 garb and brought back the boob window. They need to do that with this Joe title! I mean, they need more than that but that's a good start. Cover Girl's green jacket needs to get ripped so then she has to grab a new one and she happens to grab a brown one. Duke lost his outfit while being captured by the baroness so maybe he can just put on a brown button down. Quick Kick needs his shirt damaged and then just not put one back on. See...simple fixes that would at least enhance the book aesthetically.
