(-Very minor Spoilers)
This must be very cool for IDW to use the Club's referenced figures like Darklon, the Iron Grenadiers and Doc (Glenda) in the lates volume of G.I. Joe that just came out. this is very cool for all of us convention goers and Club members to see the figures on the pages outside of the Convention Brochure/Comic.! It kind of makes you wonder if the Club had any financial part in the comic or if it was just fan appreciated writers? In Issue #1, Doc was introduced (I can't remember if she was first a Club figure or a Devil's Due character, I could be wrong on this one.): In Issue #2, we see that last year's I.G. figures will be making an appearance: I wonder which other characters we will see from the Club?

I believe Carla "Doc" Greer first appeared in the DDP "Joe Reloaded" offshoot, or whatever it was called.

The IGs were originally a Hasbro canceled design, if I remember right.
Interesting... it looks like in IDW, the IGs will be Darklon's forces since Destro has not left Cobra in IDW continuity.

Obviously I haven't read either IDW or the Club's licensing agreement with Hasbro but I'm going to assume that whatever these companies create in the realm of GI Joe, IE Original characters, vehicles, uniform designs etc automatically become property of Hasbro. This scenario is fairly common. Much like anything created in the Star Wars EU became the property of Lucas Entertainment (now Disney)
So the Club's designs are Hasbro's property, IDW can use Hasbro's characters... therefore it's cool.

On a side note, it would be cool to have the the club re-release her in the ME sculpt along with some others (General Mayhem, Black Dragon, Black Dragon Troopers, Iron Anvils, COIL Troopers, Skull Squad Troopers, Sparks, Lt. Clay Moore, Sparks, Headhunter B.A.T.S, Headhunter Stormtroopers, Headhunter Drivers, Headhunter Guards, Hotwire, Sky B.A.T.s, Agent Natalie Poole & Red Torches)

That would have been pretty neat to see the concepts from Hasbro.

We saw those concepts quite a while ago and they popped up again when the IG Convention Set was announced. There was a Destro in the set, but he was never made. Here's a link to the thread about it here on the 'Tank. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...-released.html

I think most things in the comic should look like their most recent toys. Synergy and all that.

in an interview on Comic Book Resources, the writer said he was including the female Doc as one of many nods to different eras of Joe. Hence why the Adventure Team is mentioned (may be seen too) and he's also using the idea of multiple generations of GI Joe.
