Which Joe yearbook from the Marvel run was Rocky Balboa in? I bought the collection of yearbooks on the iPad GI Joe comics app, and it was NOT how I remembered it. And in the character files, Rocky Balboa was nowhere to be found. I have a feeling they were altered and I hope that when the GI Joe Complete Collection hard bound volumes include the yearbooks, they include them unaltered.

Rocky was never in any of the Yearbooks.
His file card was in the G.I.Joe Order of Battle #2

Rocky never made an appearance beyond the filecard in Order Of Battle.

Order of Battle #2. There was a later correction on the inside cover of #3 (or maybe it was #4), advising the reader that Rocky Balboa was never a part of the G.I.Joe team.

Yep, they were by Marvel. I'd say it was in 86 that they came out, because figures from that year were in, but not from 87.

Ok. That makes sense. Because I knew that as a kid, I saw rocky in some sort of Joe publication, and it was about the time Rocky IV came out. I'll have to track them down.

In the TPB version, some of the '87 joes were shown: falcon, Jinx, Tunnel Rat, and Outback. fireflyguy, if you're interested in the loose issues, PM me and maybe we can work something out.
