I was reading through the summaries @ the comic archive of Yo Joe, and must say that Hama sure got a lot of mileage out of the ol brainwave scanner.

Hasbro should make this into a toy set with Dr. Mindbender, bat, and a Scientist.

I just couldn't believe the number of issues it was used. Even right up to the end of the series there were people brainwashed by it.

The concept makes for some good stories and drama, ever since the Manchurian Candidate. I doubt there's been a series that even dabbled in sci-fi (and a few that hasn't) that hasn't used it. Star Trek, Stargate SG-1, Planet of the Apes. It's a good excuse to explore a character's psychology. It also makes Cobra Commander into an even more dangerous and perverse character. Talk about fighting for freedom! Imagine a tyrant who can take away even your freedom of thought!

The brainwave scanner, man it would be so cool if that is what Hasbro is holding Mindbender back for!
