If you're talking about his two dollar word vocabulary and clownish behavior then that is consistent with how the Commander was written during the last 50 or so issues of the Marvel run.

Yeah, I am in Classic Volume 13 and I think the issue I just read was probably the closes I have seen CC act like CC again. It was the one with Joe Colton and Headman (I believe 138).

The closer we got to the end, the more clownish he got, and the more he was embarassed. That was only the last 20 or so issues, though. His last appearance in Marvel is probably his lowest point, which is sorta fitting, I guess? |

No. After he comes back he wears his hood for the rest of the run except for the few issues where he had the orange and gold helmet on. I personally think you're right at the part of the series where it was at its best. That's just my opinion though and most would possibly disagree. But I loved Andrew Wildman's art.

That's #127. As for CCs behavior, I thought he was still written well after his return, even if he was a 'little' over the top. Some of his biggest successes came after that, most notably the whole Trucial Abysmia story, and there was no one around to usurp his power or undermine him. I agree that the blue and gold masked version looked terrible, though.
The closer we got to the end, the more clownish he got, and the more he was embarassed. That was only the last 20 or so issues, though. His last appearance in Marvel is probably his lowest point, which is sorta fitting, I guess? Anyway, I am confused on something, how is Mindbende dead? He is in a later issue. At least, I'm pretty sure he is in one of the later issues I have. Also, did they really kill the kid that Blind Master/Zartan was mentoring? Or did they forget they threw him into the freighter?

Tyler is dead. Never to return.
But CC isn't out of character. He just went looney (loonier anyways) towards the end of the series. The last 30 issues, when it became "Featuring Snake Eyes" were the worst of the series. I liked Wildman's art, but the stories during that time were bad. Ninja Firefly was the worst.

I don't mind that he is the Facelss Master, that is pretty cool, but yeah, his costume he just put on is terrible. Almost as terrible as Hawk's random space suit in one issue.

I could understand why the Commander would not have wanted the Joe's killed. He didn't want them meddling at all, let alone going after him with a vengeance.
And poor Tyrone was tossed into the freighter to die. I'd like to see him come back at some point, and if Sneak Peek (who died on panel) can do it then so can Tyrone.

Mindbender was cloned by CC in one of the "featuring snake eyes" issues I think. It may have been during the Transformers G2 arc which was also around the same time.
