So far every single carded 25th Joe I have won on eBay has arrived with dents, scratches, dings, scuffing, etc even after the sellers assured me that the cards and bubbles on these figures were flawless. Four different sellers have screwed me over in the past week or so. Granted I did not spend very much money on these figures, but when I ask specific questions about the condition of the card and bubble and the seller tells me it's in perfect, flawless condition, then that's what I expect to recieve in the mail. A total of five "flawless" carded 25th figures have arrived over the past week from four different sellers with scratched and dented cards and scuffed up bubbles. I swear I am seriously thinking of giving up on eBay and it's worthless sellers.

thats because they suck!
alot of people dont understand about what a flawless bubble is... to some people a flawless bubbles means "Not it wasnt hit by a missle" its still 95% attached to the card i can see the figure and or most of its accessories.. the cart doesn't have dog slobber on it or any LARGE visible tears... I have bought some things on thier before a good one to also ask is "DOES IT COME FROM A SMOKE FREE HOME" usually with that one u can rest assured that its a competent seller... I have bought clothing items once from someone that was a smoker eeeww yuck took me 5 or 6 washings to get it out *by hand so i didnt ruin it* I feel your pain but thankfully it wasnt something that you can't replace what exactly did u buy? |

I once bought a pair of Nike Air Max 95s. The seller said "used once." When I got it, it was like used a million times. There was seriously no air cushion.

That's the perfect opportunity to leave positive, yet accurate feedback...
"Received in good time, good for the money, yet bubble-card wasn't in the best shape." It's still a positive feedback, but it's the truth too. Perhaps if more people did that, their descriptions would be correct. That's the point of feedback.

What if they just package it incorrectly. I got a techno viper MOC on ebay and the seller just threw it into a priority mail box without any cushion. I got it and it was just rattling around in the package. Idiots!

I was just looking through high dollar auctions on eBay and there were ones that stated the card/bubble was perfect C10 condition and you could see scuffs and etc just from the photo.

against my better judgement, i bid high dollar on a package lot of waves 1-5. i was the top bid, but didn't cover his minimum, so i got nothing. i e-mailed him and stated that i pyrrhicly won the auction, asked what his price would be. no reply. y'know, if your minimum is well over $230, then why start an auction at $99?

it's like with anything else - people see there's a market for these things, so knowing nothing about it or the people that collect them, they think they can go out and expect top dollar. FOR STUFF YOU CAN STILL FIND IN THE STORES. but the problem is, all it takes is one retard to pay what they ask, and everyone else can demand the same outrageous prices... that's how we pay so much at the pumps for gas. if we stopped buying, even for a couple of days, and demanded that the prices come down, then they would have to. take action against this kind of thing. if you're unhappy, let them know in the feedback. if the product wasn't what they said it was (especially if yoou've asked specific questions), then leave a negative. if it's a bigger problem, contact ebay.

Ebay is full of lazy scam artists. Of course there are legit sellers too, you just need to find them.
My advice, find 1 good reliable seller and stick to them. |

#1 Let's not call people "retards" because they spend an ungodly amount of money for items on eBay. What they do with their money is their business.
#2 As Minstrel mentioned, people are on the band wagon. Amber makes a great point, as long as the card isn't jacked beyond belief, most would call it "perfect". Just as Xero mentioned, though, that's what feedback is for. At least now, buyers can be honest & upfront with their feedback without fear of a retaliatory negative. #3 Last point, promise If a seller is a good seller, he/she will be more than happy to provide any customer service items requested, such as additional pictures. If you ask someone for pictures of the bubble, card edges, etc., even if they didn't look at those things before, they will now (see? You could actually influence someone rather than just poop on'em...what a twist!) |
