Well it wouldn't be the first time.
Certain human characters in Transformers did get Cybertronian exo-suits to join them. (see Headmasters & Targetmasters & more)

Yet that wasn't my only complaint. RotB was a terrible movie. It was nominated for a Razzie. Plus they also didn't get G.I. Joe right either.
