Every Joe #317: Gaucho

Gaucho was originally an Action Force repaint of the ARAH Gung Ho as a new Action Force character.

In 2010 the GI Joe Collectors' Club created an official GI Joe version of the character, using a re-tooled ARAH V1 Gung Ho head over a V2 Gung Ho body. This was a good step in giving the characters different appearances, but I took an extra step and replaced the Marine Corps hat (if my brother were here he'd tell me it's a "utility cover", I think?) with a head wrap. This is something I also did on a custom figure of Gaucho, by painting the top of the V2 Gung Ho head as material instead of exposed scalp. Stubble also helps it look even less like Gung Ho. To think the GIJCC could've made a better figure by keeping the V2 head!

But I would have griped about that being a head-to-toe repaint, wouldn't I?

I kept the red of the original figure, but used it for the undershirt instead of the vest.
