Does anyone know if this is just an artistic liberty, or has Destro had a mechanical hand this entire time and I just never noticed?
In the modern half of Larry's ARAH comic, Destro loses both hands during an attack on Castle Destro by Cobra. He holds up some stone structure so his men can escape.
As a result, he now has robot hands. This was only referenced one more time, during which he and Baroness were cybernetically "brainwashed" thralls of the Blue Ninja cyborgs. Not truly brainwashed, but disconnected from their nervous systems. They were both conscious of their situation but their bodies would not respond to their minds any longer. So, somehow he detached one of his robot hands, and it turned out that his brain could still control it after it was disconnected from his body. So he piloted his hand up to the implant on his neck to overcome the control of the Blue Ninjas.
I never liked that, but maybe the cartoon was the reason for this change from Larry.
