I should probably buy a generator so I can play Super Metroid while the world burns down around me.)
If this were an investment, I'd be freaked the eff out. I'm just glad I've always stuck by my guns and just bought/collected for the sheer love of it.
I had a bit of a flashback after yesterday's post, though, specifically related to Gung-Ho. While I haven't noticed cracking on the shoulder ( I assume you mean at the rivet, in a similar manner to the notorious elbows?), I have noticed that this specific figure and the '87 law are prone to shoulder separation, allowing for the lower arm to pop out or fall off..
I've had probably 8 or 9 GH through the course of my "tenure", and I'd say a third have had this issue to some degree, and though I haven't owned a Law since it was a new toy, I distinctly remember packing him up for a trip to the pool only to find that his entire lower arm had separated at the swivel without actually "breaking" and could be put back in place/removed. Back then, I considered it a feature rather than an eff up though!
I had a few TFs but I sold them awhile back. I read a few stories that the vintage TF line will break on the shelf. Is that true?
Yes, the few shoulder cracks I’ve seen are from the rivet outward on the back of the shoulder. I haven’t seen the separation yet that you mention.
