I like this sub better than FSS 6 or FSS 4. I bumped my order up to 5 sets, although that's not as many as I ordered of FSS 5. There isn't any serious dog in this one like Windmill or Barricade. There are no foreign figures (boring category) besides an excuse to rerelease Big Boa. There's also only ONE "sub-team" repaint figure (boring category), but it happens to be a popular female character which gives it extra oomph. This FSS managed to figure out how to not make the sub-team repaint and foreign figures the automatic dogs of the set.
Not crazy about Arctic CC or Hawk, but there is solid reasoning for producing both of those figures. Skidmark also looks lousy, just like the original, but he's the stuff of legend and one of the three earliest year figure remakes in the line-up.
Dusty and Stalker were two of my favorite re-costumed Joes back in the day. I'm SUPER stoked about the Kaos Crew, one of my favorite concept case figures. Tomax is a must have to go with his brother. Ice-Viper Officer is from the weak 2000s era of o-ring Joes, but he certainly looks good. Budo is a must-have, but I hope it looks better in person. And Crystal Ball is just the BOMB, the linchpin of this whole series. I also think the face on that one will look a little more toned-down in person.
