Today, Hasbro held their annual Toy Fair Investor Day and it was hinted that there will be a new G. I. Joe Mobile Game.
The reveal was made by Julian Farrior; CEO of Backflip Studios, which was recently acquired by Hasbro. He didn’t mention much, but said that they have Mobile Game plans for major Hasbro brands including G. I. Joe.
Sadly, that was all that was said about the franchise we all know and love. However, NY Toy Fair is around the corner and Hasbro has planned some celebrations to celebrate the 50th Anniversary Of G. I. Joe.
Our News Crew is over there at the Fair Grounds to bring you news and images as they happen. Make sure you tune into TFW Network Sites tomorrow onwards for our full coverage of New York Toy Fair 2014.

I doubt many of us are doing "backflips" over this news or lack thereof.

I stopped playing the G.I. Joe Battleground game months ago because it became monotonous.
I wonder what this game will be and if it will end up being the same thing over and over again.

This ensures we won't see a new console/PC platform game anytime soon.

What is more popular these days: Moble games or console games? Does it look like moble games will surpass console games like streaming music overcame CD's? Maybe this is a good option, especially if they can make an addictive game, that can make new fans of GI Joe.

They already have a G.I. Joe mobile game: G.I. Joe: Battlegrounds

What has Backflip done before? Anything that seems like they might just make a JOE version of said game? I don't get the mobile gaming taking over console gaming. I'm only playing Tiny Deathstar right now, and before that Plants vs Zombies. That was probably 5 months ago. I just started TDs about a week ago. It's hard as hell even finding a mobile game worth playing let alone it take over console games.
Would love to see something worthwhile be made and not on that Free-to-play-but-uses-micro-transaction nonsense. Hell, just make a Contra-styled JOE game. Would be awesome.
