Smells of cheap.they would of been better off not including drivers.
Lody:
Yuck
spiderpumpkin:
Where's the Skystriker, DTC HISS and DTC Humvee repaints. These POC repaints are getting old. They must have done some testing with kid focus groups and found colorful toys are what the kids want. Looks like we're getting the Nerf-Hawk and maybe the Nerf-Mobile is next.
SidDarth:
Just tell me that awful rocket launcher is removable from the water moccasin.

My thoughts exactly. I kinda dig the colors they picked, but that giant gun has to go.
Deftones1982:
Big disappointment these vehicles.
Dem_Yoe'z!:
The vehicles suck and without a good vehicle driver they are even more fail. Did we really need another awestriker repaint? Really?
tycondrius:
you know I'm surprised they didn't just mold the drivers onto the vehicles. that way they coulda had a better cutting costs excuse. rather then the crap they have given us. tho saying that the CC in the Hiss looks nice its a pity the mold sucks. and I also wanna see a close up of that Swamp Viper
Quick Kick:
Not only does the plastic look cheap and the driver, but the packaging looks really cheap as well. I was really excited about what was possible vehicle wise for the movie, but I don't know if I will purchase any of these. They will look weird and second rate next to even the 30th anniversary vehicles.
Talisman:
I'm actually looking forward to these. The Vehicles look a lot better this time around, compared to the RoC offerings. I have to wonder about the rope in the back of the Ghosthawk, though... hmm. Rappel line, maybe?
Vanguard:
Is it me or does the treads on the HISS look like one solid piece of plastic? I dig the overall design but why go cheap on the treads?

The difference is the ROC offerings while overpriced included many brand new toolings and all new vehicles, while this time around we are getting 95% repaints of vehicles that have been done to death over the past 4 years.

This being the 4th different awe striker repaint since the 25th and the 3rd different water mocassin repaint since the 25th. Then you have the 3rd different repaint of the VAMP in a little over a years time.
dorian247:
I actually like these vehicles a lot, except for the ninja stuff I never liked the idea of ninja vehicles it seems to defeat the whole stealth puurpose. I know its all personal opinion, but I think its better than we have seen in the past.

The treads are a solid mold with wheels on the bottom.

Because its for kids, I guess its more durable and saves costs.
I'm going to go buy up the last couple crimson hiss tanks and black dragons I want. Once you have treads its hard to go back.

They can keep this stuff. Hopefully the single figures and a few more original vehicles pop up.
Nightrain:
Weak offering. I don't want no damn ninja cycles and ninja cars and ninja this and that. I want a GI Joe tank.
CrimsonGuard101:
Uggh if that gun is spring action crap is removable off that watermocassin I am going to need 2 for everyone I buy so I can have 2 guns by the cockpit..somone needs to mold that as they get one lol...
mistamoose:
The Ghost Hawk II looks pretty cheap. Nice solution for the rope or whatever, but still it's an unfinished, exposed bottom for the tail section. WTF?
jmlawn:
OMG! this stuff is all crap, I was looking forward to this line, but man what junk.
Hasbro, remember what killed the line in the 90s? Ninjas, Flashy colors, & big useless rocket lauchers!

Is it me does the front end of the retooled HISS V remind you of anything?

SidDarth:
The side guns on the rear of the hiss look very similar to ones used in the Built-to-Rule line.
BCDX97:
The colors and the packaging both suck. Why? POC and 30th were both damn cool!
Jinx723:
I hope to god Alyosha or someone makes a custom case of Cobra Commanders head. It's more movie accurate and I do not intent to buy the "new" HISS tank just for the Commander.

Many of these vehicles I haven't been able to grab in the past due to both a lack of steady work and distribution in this area being absolute crap. I'm more than happy to see them at a point in time where I actually have the time and money to acquire them at my leisure, and as far as I can tell, there's nothing inherently wrong with any of the molds, apart from being "done to death".

One less thing I have to worry about losing then. Besides, my beloved Patriot Grizzly has the same type of treads and it is still awesome.
Syn3sthesia:
Had my hopes on the vehicles but that was shut down earlier. And this pics further confirm that they still suck! And that artwork on the boxes is freaking horrible.
Strike GIJOE from that and call it the Rock and Arashikage show!

What a let down. Enjoy the rocket launchers guys. At least ROC had the RHINO going. This line is pure garbage.

THANK GOD! Finally fixed those terrible rubber pieces pf crap that never worked right. That's the main thing I hated about the HISS V. The design is totally awesome but the treads ruined it for me.

I'm going to get 2 SDCC Shockwave tanks & the rest of the crap can rot on the shelf. I'm going to get the Avengers vehicles but the Joe vehicles are garbage. Can't wait for the Quinjet.

They could have kept that tread design and done the same thing by making them static/wheeled then use these new ones...they look out of place with that blocky thing that connects them to the main part, least they got rid of that pop up feature...that was o lame and annoying lol
hectorxd:
yeah. these are really terrible. the vehicles, the figures, the packaging. I am really shocked as the packaging looks like something you would see in a dollar store or in 5 below on cheap toys. It almost looks like that had someone design it that had never heard of GI Joe or was given no direction at all. How could they make it all so ugly?
BadDog:
Ok...where is that Vamp re-make they showed early? The Combat Cruiser thingy.... That had some potential.

That was my thought...did Mattell buy Hasbro or soemthing? I think hasbro is pulling a huge joke on us and rofling all over the office with this release lol
Superjoe74:
I don't like to say anything bad about Joes but, if I am being honest then it isn't bad-

These vehicles are the worst repaints so far. Terrible.
luigi:
i like the new designs
the new awe looks cool
the ghost hawk okay
the cobra boat besides the lame ass missile thing okay
the new hiss okay
Syn3sthesia:
I think the only thing I'll actually buy is the the hoodie if they make it with the Cobra logo!
SteelersMobat:
The packaging looks alot like it was made by the artist from Lanards "The Corps" line, and then edited by the person that does Nerf packaging.
I hope the vehicles come unassembled, then we can all customize, and/or at least not install the spring loaded "super guns".
I'm liking the plane. I would like to pick up the VAMP reissue, but it will get new paint.
Other than that, not much you can say about them because we have already gotten these vehicles before, only in cleaner unspring loaded, less wildly colored form. We can only hope kids buy the crap out of them so we can get the other older molds we have been clamoring for, resurected from the dust bin.

Yeah I am waiting on the eventual repaint of that ghost hawk 2, maybe a subdued grey or blue/silver take...right now it looks like something you would fly in Con Air...
miscreant:
Claiming articulation was reduced to keep vehicle costs down is kind of weak considering the Moccasin and Striker are both on their umpteenth reuse by now.
FIREFLY21:
After 5 years of overspending, I will save some serious $$. Thank you Hasbro. This is such cheap looking junk! The Ripper Tank might be the worst Joe vehicle ever
Firefly9145:
Fu(king weak!!!! Where is the vamp the only thing I wanted from this line

Hasbro is going backwards with the Joe line! These are weak, but I'm sure that ripper won't see the light of day...oh wait, it'll make it to Ross! lol

I might be able to save up some money too this year!!

If he does Hasbro is going to sue him for casting their sculpts so I don't think they will.. They got Slayerdesign and so did Lucas for the Star Wars stuff.
rfarrell22:
WTF? seriously, no moving treads.
This is crap.
Arvinator:
This is horrible!! That's all I can say. Hasbro shall not have my money this year.
sisco:
I'm More exited by that Captain America Tank, definetly repainting that into a Cobra vehicle. Unless the Hiss Tank gets good reviews when it hits shelves I think I'm going to skip the movie line vehicles entirely.

Hopefully the big box retailers will have some ARAH vehicle based exclusives again.

Edit: Just noticed the Hiss Tank has solid treads that pretty much killed that one for me lol.

Copyrights and trademarks expire after a certain period time. With a lot of art and movies it's a 100 years after the creators death. That should be right around the time alyosha would be ready to start mailing them out.
RedAlert Rescue:
OK lets go through them one at a time :

1) Hiss Tank - It's Ok a bit skinny maybe and I think it's not as attractive as earlier Hiss' but the design is proably for anti-land mine protection... I does look like it might be quite fast over rough ground though so it does come under the concept of High Speed Sentry and the new cabin is an improvement and I even like the colour.

It kind of looks like it's supposed to dock with something though to fill in all that underside gap. Overall 'OK' and it gains points for the colour which I like.

2) Fangboat : Again I like the colour, has very little to do with the Movie boat mind but as a stand alone fast swamp boat with cobra army colours it works for me - I like the colours more than the yellow or green versions. But I did like the original guns a bit more.

3) Ghost Hawk is an odd one it's a bit sci-fi perhaps and a little bright but it does resemble a few 80's vehicles and as such does not fail to fit in to a general Gi Joe look - a Cobra repaint would really appeal to me though even more. does look a bit like that ol' Kenner Aliens toy though had a head on collision with a Rattler.

If they reissue it in better colours I'd say I'd support it more though - as it stands it still fits in with the wacky late eighties early 90's colours fine.

4) Ninja's with Buggys.. er OK ?? I think i'd lend it to anyone else dressed in black and use it for special forces instead.

Overall 'I've seen worse'.
CrimsonGuard101:
Is the vest thing Destro has on the same one that Renegades ripcord was supposed to come with? It looks vaugley familiar a such...
WildWeaselZ06:
Um okay, let me preface this by saying I'm somewhat of a completionist. I also rather like most everything Joe related because of my love of the line and how important it was to me in my formative years, so I'm willing to overlook alot.

That said, I really love the HISS and VAMP. Do to the size and bilk of the vehicles I can understand the cost reductions with the figures. Another AWE striker, well, I got all the other modern era ones, might as well complete the set. I think this figure should've been something just based on how many AWEs we already have. Fangboat, yes, always loved the Moccasin. I'm an aircraft mechanic and pilot and Joe helped me discover that passion, so I always get the aircraft. That said, I'm really not certain of the Ghosthawk.

The bikes, you're kidding, right! $10-12 for a chunk of plastic that really does nothing with a statue on top. How do they justify that after the Target bikes that sold well(at least here), for $10 with a fully articulated figure. The wheel blaster may be that exeption me when I see it in person. The pullback bikes, um, NO! I didn't know Hasbro made Fisher Price.

I know alot I won't be getting. I just hope that the line does well enough with the kids, to justify alienating the fans that helped build Hasbro with this brand. Just my opinion, mind you.
