GI Joe Figures and Vehicles From Toy Fair 2013

GIJoe-Eaglehawk-Helicopter
Our Team has begun to upload pictures of GI Joe Figures and Vehicles From Toy Fair 2013. The Cobra Night Landing Craft, G.I.Joe EagleHawk and Ultimate figures are showcased.

The moment you've all been waiting for, our 1st images from Toy Fair! Hasbro unveiled a generous amount of previously unannounced figures. Hasbro says these are waves 3 and 4(however stay tuned for more info on that, as technically wave 3 of Retaliation is already out unless these are really waves 1 and 2 of a different branding name like...GI Joe Special Ops and...well it gets confusing so hopefully Hasbro can clear this up!).

Some figures which were canceled from the GI Joe 30th Anniversary Toyline have made their way back to this upcoming assortment(spread across 2 waves) of figures! Those and many other figures shown include:
  • Ultimate Cobra Commander classic
  • Ultimate Storm Shadow classic
  • Ultimate Duke movie
  • Ultimate Flint movie
  • Ultimate Roadblock movie
  • Data Viper
  • Night Viper
  • Kwinn
  • Crimson Guard
  • Blind Master
  • Jinx
  • Cobra Ninja Trooper
  • Budo
Not many vehicles to be seen, literally just a handful, but for GI Joe A Real American Hero fans, these vehicles are classics and 1 in particular has been in demand for quite some time.
  • Night Landing Craft with Cobra Eel
  • Eaglehawk with Lift Ticket
Eaglehawk you ask? Why yes it's a new mold modernized Tomahawk! An extra row of seats, rotor blades that fold out of the way(easier to store!), extra head sets, et al. Oh yeah the new Lift-Ticket is considerable different compared to its 25th anniversary Lift Ticket predecessor. Wait..there's something else about it..oh yeah unlike the Retaliation vehicle drivers, this figure is fully articulated to boot! In addition we have images of the Eaglehawk packaging from front to back, click on the headline to check out all these upcoming GI Joe toys!

Because in our lame PC world, "Tomahawk" would probably be considered racist, and there would be an outpouring of fake-ass "Facebook outrage".

Pfffff!! Yeah, if only Kwinn could get in that pose...

Will have to repaint the night landing boat in a darker blue or black

Even that pose is kinda lame. lol. Something looks off for sure.

Might not be production sample. The Ultimate CC is definitely a pre-production sample.

I like how Flint's hand is severed, lol.

I'm not a fan of the Ultimate Firefly, some say he's better than the 3 pack version, I actually like the 3 pack version better.
SmokePants:
The downside to the way the figures have advanced in recent years is that they just don't match the vehicles anymore. I've been trying to picture that Tomahawk looking cool with some of my favorite ME figures sitting straight-legged and cramped in the back and my imagination is making it not seem all that cool.

Maybe I'll stuff it full of O-Ring figures instead.
Scotty97:
Thanks for the heads up! Though I don't think that qualifies as a sure bet, it's better than nothing.
Zandar07:
I feel bad for the MOC collectors. They got all these awesome new figures that will be hideous retaliation cards. lol.

Ah, the helmet that was originally going to come with Lifeline! Is it actually shipping with the Wave 2 Flint or is this a setup mistake in the display case?

It's probably coming with the "ultimate" flint that uses the ultimate Duke body.

Makes sense since that Flint is also using Mouse's chest armor, as near as I can tell.

I already have the first two (including the 3 pack repaint), and I'll for sure get the next too. The sculpts are just too good to pass up. And they both look movie accurate. I hope we can get a Colton that's half as movie accurate some day.

That Roadblock gun looks like it will be a better fit than what the Club gave Repeater... IMO

I agree. The head is a little off and the arms are too big and as to much muscle for SS in my opinion. The rest of him is great.

Looks like they tried to hold it up with a glob of glue. I remember trying that with ARAH thumbs. It never worked.... :(
JoeMama:
ok. so I have my Cyber Ninja now, and he does not have that head. He only comes with one head, and it is the second head shown, not the Wraith head.

I'm confused, wave 3 is hitting stores now, the black ninja and joe colton and lady jaye, but the others in "wave 3" are not...

I think we're going to see a ton of Dusty customs with that "Ultimate Duke".

He mos def does. It almost looks too friendly to be Kwinn. I just can't stop seeing Hama. Kinda kills it for me. And Budo looks a little like Henry Sanada to me, too for some reason.

I also don't think the Tomahawk is an all new sculpt; it's just retooled. What would be the point of making something new if it's just going to look nearly identical to the original? But again, we are talking about Hasbro here. Not exactly a den of geniuses over there.
Any one know the retail price yet? Is it a store exclusive? Is the Night Landing Craft an exclusive?

I always thought the ROC unmasked Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow looked like Hama.

The current assortment is not truly "Wave 3". DePriest called it more of a "Wave 2.5" filler wave. The true Wave 3 will be hitting in May.

I think people think that because the original mold may have been broken or lost so they did what they did with the Skystriker. Not sure if that's the case or not.

Totally, dude! This is a pretty crazy surprise...I totally feel like I'm a little kid again as well! lol!

I mean, that Ultimate Cobra Commander is totally pimp. Removable knife, swappable battle helmet and hooded heads, and a f'in helicopter backpack! The bitches will be swarming all over him!

And Kwinn...I was honestly starting to think we'd never get him.

Thank you, Hasbro!

This is whats up,Screw ROSS i'll take 2 Tomahawks at full price right now. When Hasbro does stuff like this,i got no problem giving them my money. Looks like Ren. SS just got knocked to the side. Now i don't have to destroy my Ren SS to make him sleeveless.Need a couple Night vipers too and Hard Master just cause.
Cobra80:
Holy Crap! Thanks HT for all the Great pictures. Sooooooo Yeahhhhhh, I no longer feel bad about not getting any JoeCon 2013 Night Force figures. I mean at first I kinda wanted to buy a box set. Then I was kinda like what if the 2 packs and 3 packs are cool.

Ha ha ha ha ha, after seeing all these new figures, Kwinn, Data Viper, Ultimate SS, Ultimate CC, Crimson Guard, Tomahawk, Oh yeah JoeCon Night Force figures who??

So I will gladly save my $$ on not waste $400-600 on Frankenstein Joes. It feels like a big weight lifted off my shoulders. While people are trying to buy the exclusives, I will be happily looking for and buying multiple Ultimate SS, Kwinn, Data Vipers, and a couple of Tomahawks.

I just looked at the original in a hi-res pic and it's very, very similar, but there's enough slight differences that it's not the same. Very similar to what they did with the above mentioned Sky Striker and the Water Moccasin (Sting Raider)

Just a Wave 2 Flint. For some reason he's wearing Mouse's helmet on the display shelf.
Rockhammer:
That Tomahawk (er, I mean Eaglehawk) looks GREAT.
I hope Hasbro doesn't pull a ROC Night Raven on us, though: it looks like the landing gear wheels may not spin, but it's hard to tell from the picture. Yes, I care about little things like that. But either way, it looks freaking amazing!

I mean $25.00 for a Horrible Hit and Run or $25.00 for a Horrible Spearhead or $10.00 for a Kick @$$ Kwinn. Some people will be buying 2,3,4 box sets of Franken-Force figures and Power Ranger Letal and Power Ranger Crimson ASP.

I will be glad to save my $$ for the new product coming out in a few months.
I kinda think you've made yourself clear on that.... C'mon 3-4 posts saying how you don't like the GIJCC figures....? We get it - you're gonna save some money!!!!

To me, the only "true" updated vehicles in the ME line are the Water Moccasin and Sky Hawk. These two vehicles are different enough (and in the Water Moccasin's case, actually bigger than the vintage) from the vintage versions that they're basically like the updated figures. The other vehicles were minor remolds, and even in the case of the Skystriker, wasn't really much of an improvement, or well sized to the modern figures (the single-seat cockpit was bummer).

I would hope the Tomaeaglething is more like the Sky Hawk/Water Moccasin updates than the Skystriker, but I don't think it will be.
commandercrunch:
Is it me, or is anyone else bothered they havent done a more movie accurate cobra commander?

other than that, I love everything coming out and hopefully they saved some surprise reveals for Joecon!
