G.I. Joe Subscription Service Figures Shipping Before Christmas

Just got this in email! Rock on.



"Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

This is going out to everyone who subscribed to the GI Joe Collectors' Club Figure Subscription Service.

If any of you have moved since you placed your subscription order it's time for you to update your new address!

Please click here to log in and check your account!

We are anticipating that the first two figure shipment will ship before Christmas so that means you have until December 2nd to update your address. After that date, we do not guarantee that your shipment will go the correct address.

In order to get all of the orders out the door in one week, we need to start the printing and prep for all of the orders we received starting on December 3rd.

Provided that our shipment from China is not delayed, we are working on getting all orders out the door before Christmas. We will hopefully start sending them out the week before Christmas.

For those of you who have purchased on the installment plan, we anticipate that the second billing will take place in mid-January so we will give you updates as soon as we know the final schedule.

I just got that email as well, excited to hear that we could have the first 2 figures next month.

It will be nice getting something Joe related for Christmas!

what a nice email to get. hope everything goes to plan. they did give themselves some outs schedule wise...but this is pretty exciting i have to say.

I'm a bit confused:

I ordered the "pay up front" plan, and the info on the site says I should have been billed a couple days after I placed the order, but I don't see the charge on my card anywhere. Are they not billing until it ships or do I need to get in touch with customer service and find out what the heck is going on?

My prediction: Quarrel and Nano BAT

First revealed, first released? I could see that, though at the same time I could see them changing things up to surprise us. Plus I'm fairly sure they'll try to pack one relatively higher-demand figure with one lower-demand figure. Though there are a lot of figures in the set that seem to be "mid-level" in terms of demand.

To be fair, there is a lot of demand for Nano BAT ... and some even for Quarrel. Nano BAT is likely to sell fast on the secondary market because it is the army builder of the set. Thus, it is in demand. And Quarrel is a "must have" for Action Force fans.

It's interesting reading who people are wanting first. Some would've never expected (unless they're being sarcastic). Regardless, reading everyone's comments over the last year and a half has led me to believe that there is a decent demand for every one of these figures. Sure Covergirl, Big Boa, Dice and Iron Klaw seem to be the top. And stating the obvious, Nano B.A.T. troop building is going to catipult this guy's decent demand into high demand. I'm excited for him. Overall, I would follow BBTS's preorder trends to see who's hot because some of their figures are being sold for less than the club intends to sell singles (Surefire, TNT, Grunt, Barrelroll) at $25 a piece. Didn't the club say singles would be $32 (roughly)?

When is the Club suppose to do the reveal on Facebook the first figures they're shipping out? I thought they said that they will let us know a couple of weeks ago.

That is if the club has any singles to sell. There is no guarantee that there will be any.

I don't think they ever said - only that it would be quite a bit more than figures via the subscription and that there wouldn't be many. And that didn't include their typically incredibly high shipping prices!

I got my email also. I cant wait for all of mine to arrive. I will definitely have extra ones or ones i dont want to sell. I sure hope everything goes like it should so we get these before Christmas!!!

Something very cool about getting these (well hopefully) before the holidays.....definitely makes me feel 10 again!

Despite my membership still being good, this is the third e-mail in a row that I haven't gotten.

Also having problems logging into the FSS. Guess I'm going to have to be calling them tonight to find out WTF is going on.

Did they already charge us for the first payment when we signed up? I cannot remember.

I hope that it's not delayed by customs before it reaches the club. Would be nice if they get it started this December.

I hope they send some of the figures I've sold to friends first (Surefire, Barrel Roll, Iron Klaw, and Jinx).

I wish there would of been an option to send them in protective cases. They used to sell them on the site. Anyone know where I can order some like they use for the SDCC figs?

I can't wait to get these. It will be nice to get some new figures.

I will certainly be looking for one more Nano BAT myself.

I'm thinking though that they will probably pair up one ARAH character with one non-ARAH character. This is how I think they will send them out:

Grunt/Quarrel
Dice/Iron Klaw
Jinx/Barrel Roll
Topside/Nano BAT
Covergirl/Sure Fire
Big Boa/TNT
13th figure

Maybe they'll send out some of the more desired ones early, but I just kind of feel like they will keep them for later on.

The club sold out but I was told that they were ordering more and they were expected some time this month. Of course I wouldn't hold them to that fact given their track record but when I talked to Karen at the club she thought they would have some more in time for the first shipment of FSS figs so just keep checking.

I still haven't gotten an email, but when I log onto FSS site it shows that an e-mail was sent to me yesterday.

That would make sense.

The Club emails have always made it to my inbox, but for some reason this particular email went to my junk folder, so I'd check there if I were you.

At the convention the Club said they were going to change up the first two figures so they wont be Nano and Quarrel together. It may be one of them or neither of them.

Why does the club set themselves up for failure all the time. They could have just put the figures in the mail when they had them and give people one of those surprises they love so much. That one would have actually gone over well. Instead they commit themselves to having them out before Christmas "provided our shipment from China is not delayed". Well as long as you are counting on the rock solid China shipping process, what could go wrong?

Great news! This will make many people happy having some of these before Christmas.

It's interesting to note: this thread on the Club is only five pages of comments as opposed to 20, 30, 40 or more pages of ranting usually generated if they did something wrong.

Isn't it nice to see they have accomplished something good for the membership?

There was a typo... He meant to say Christmas 2013, guys. Setting the expectation for 2013 means less rage when the first figures reach half the subscribers by 2014.
