I like this Cobra Commander, he looks, well , more in Command. The card art is great, I hope he looks exactly like this in the Animation Series.

In the end I would rather have a classic look then something we all can't recognize.

Don't get me wrong, very cool figure...and I'm sure I'll pick one up since C.C. was one of my favs growing up, but really.......can't we just get through some more 25th's first. There's still some really cool characters to make, and here we go with cartoon versions. Smells an awful lot like the Star Wars Clone Wars crap, if you ask me. The Resolute cartoon looks awesome, really awesome, but am I going to re-buy every character so I can have a "Resolute style Tripwire or Alpine".....Nope! Maybe, just a C.C. and Snake eyes..that's it!.....and that's only if Snake Eyes is cool.

The same wave that Cobra Commander comes in will have a Classic RAH Style Blowtorch, Ive seen it and it looks outstanding. Its going to be a MIX of New Classics and Very New Resolute. This way everybody gets something. Kinda like the movie will be done. Very New Movie Characters mixed with Classic Characters.

Im totally for what Hasbros trying to do,they are going for the younger market here which is the smart move, they will keep us older gen fans on a hook with one or two that we like in the up coming waves,but the real money for them is in geting new fans,
and if they can do that it's good for all of us because it keeps G.I Joe alive.

All of what you said is 100% true except once you see the Resolute animation show you will want these because of just how good that series is and how its points at us the "Adult Fan". Nothing like Cobra Commander in control of WMD.

Thought I'd heard that, so thanks for the confirmation. However, still kinda crappy. I guess then I'll just have to wait and see for each and every figure...and see if it's "worthy" or not....kinda like what I've done w/ the Star Wars and Transformers Classics.

does anyone know if the torso is like the rest! it seems to be a one piece.

Awesome to see the Resolute Commander wears a very recognizable uniform!
I'm glad Hasbro stays true to the vintage look, big thumbs up!!

That being said, I won't get this figure because I like the DVD pack #5 Best of the 80's vac chrome helmet Commander the best.
I was waiting sooo long to finally get a vac chrome one so I refuse to go back now :P
Maybe if this one gets a release in vac chrome, I might get it.

the figure looks ok...honestly, its hard for me to excited over CC's these days...i am on CC overload...however, the new cards look cool and fit in quite well with the "25th" cards...

Damn! This CC is outstanding! I can not wait to see the other figs (cough, cough...Blowtorch!).

Excellent, excellent, EXCELLENT. Exactly what I was hoping for. Very identifiable with the COBRA Commander we all know and love, but with some nice updated design tweaks. I'm gonna be in love with Resolute, I can tell already. Great looking figure, and I think Hasbro is making a brilliant move here. They can attract new fans while still appealing to the old school collectors as well.

Anyone just dismissing Resolute without even giving it a shot will soon have their minds changed, I think. This is gonna be amazing.

Meh, just another CC, seeing him scream RETREAT RETREAT!!! does not fit his original corwardness (Destro and Mindbinder were the True leaders!)....

only thing positive form this fig is maybe they do have some new molds for the orignal Joes to use for new parts to make better and newer figs. I pass on the resolute stuff...nice try Hasbro but I am sitcking to what I liked as a kid, regardless if the cartoon is "PG-13" why not just make it "R" and put it on HBO, theyd make more money! LOL NOT!

Like the cape, would have rather seen the cape on a hooded cc though. :(

Could do with out the panel / stripe on the helmet even though I know the cartoon had it / will have it, and why it is there.



All in all, I'm out on this CC. Sorry, call me a traditionalist. :(

He looks too much like this terrible version, which means I'm against it.

I like that little half cape, though.

to be honest, i'm glad he's not super duper awesome...will save me money not wanting to buy (or get forced to buy in a c.p. for example) another CC...i actually hope Resolute SE, SS, Duke, Destro, Baroness, and al other played out repaints and multiple version characters look horrible...i am quite tired of having a million versions of the same charactors thrown at me...bring me some originallity or you get none of my money big H

Edit: although if he has an o ring I will buy a million to show Hasbro that I want more o rings!

I'm glad people like it. I don't. While I'll continue to purchase the classic figures/vehicles and the occasional Resolute figure, between this and the CPs, I will not be spending my cheese on these. Perfect timing with the MOTU Classics line being released in NINE DAYS!!!

One question, will the rest of the 25th/classic/Modern Era figures still sport the old logo/box like they currently look?

I don't mind that the Resolute packaging is different, I just want the 25th figures to all be carded the same. It already gets my OCD going that they switched from the (BETTER-looking) 25th foil cards...

That, being my biggest concern, can't wait to see Blowtorch.

And these Resolute guys look promising, if CC is a good basis. There may be a few I get, but I'm on the old-school wagon. Not that I'm stubborn or anything, I just want my classic Joes... I'm not looking at buying into a new line at 26.

Same as loving the Alternator and Masterpiece TF line... They're pretty much my old-school favorites, just updated with new car styles and designs... Even look old-school. Resolute seems to be more in the vein of Classics, which I've kept from buying so far. I really like Classics, and quite possibly Resolute, I just don't need any more toy lines to collect.

Thats the same head that comes in the DVD pack but without being Vac sealed.....I like him, but after the DVD Version...they went backwards....

(mandingo rex) hit the nail on the head...i love the classic look of the card, and card art...not affraid of change, and if the resolute figures are getting this different card thats ok, but i hope the other figures will stay the same as waves 1-12....i wish they would have kept the foil cards and just changed the 25th corner logo (if they had too)....we will see when they come out, im sure we will all be pleasantly supprised
