    Hey All!

(Now Updated with hi res pics)

Just got home and had a box from China.

Ten of the glorious resolute Alley vipers. These appear to be finished products with good paint apps. They arrived without weapons or the goggles that were featured on Shin's post.

    Here's the Breakdown

    CONSTRUCTION:

Legs and torso : come from the resolute trooper. Range of motion on the legs is excellent for posing and one would expect these designs to be conserved between trooper and Alley Viper

Arms: Straight up resolute Storm Shadow from the comic pack. It really was a great use IMHO. They appear to be modern body armor pieces and dont say Ninja in the least. When Gyre-Viper first reviewed the prototype, There was some worry about the shoulder pads falling off. No worries necessary!! All 10 arrived safely from the plastic heaven with shoulder pads firmly glued in place. Even better, when you look closely, they have dark blue horizontal stripes on them. Range of motion on the arms is ok. They can get caught up against the webgear and limit the movement, but you can easily slip the pads into the arm hole and get a full shoulder movement.

Head & Helmet: Both of these as well as the webgear are new for this release. The Helmet fits well and snug and is definitely accuarate to the resolute toon. The Head is the most interesting piece. It is an all new cast in a semi-translucent silver plastic. Think Wraith silver with a clear coat that gives it a definite metalllic shine. under the metallic faceplate there are dark blue paint apps and painted eyes. I'm really sad that i only have camera phone pics to show you, because I feel this is a really nice feature. It would have been perfect for Destro's head in the ROC figure because of the depth and metallic shine it gives off without being Vac-Metal mirror

Verdict: All in all a great figure that will be tough to troop build because it will be very popular. It's cartoon accurate and could fit perfectly in with your ME, ROC or POC collection seamlessly

OMG!!! Gooooooooooosee!! Can I come over and play?? Please!
Magick:
Wow.. that had to of cost.. I was looking for just one the other day and it was going for a hefty price. If these were from the bay.. I must have missed that auction. LOL
DOC:
I'm thinking he paid a reasonable price for them... If I know anything about the goose he likes to find the deals
ChaplainAsst:
So, what is the part break down on this figure? The head itself looks new, but is the rest just RoC parts?
COBRACOLLECTOR:
    Wow congratz they look great

Actually, it was about $60 plus the shipping. Would have loved to have gotten all the accessories... but hey I'm not complaining.

Karma Cop:
congratulations on such a major score!
goosetuber:
    head=new
    torso and legs=resolute trooper
    arms=resolute comic pack storm shadow

A really nice combination in my opinion
goosetuber:
I have Doc to thank... He found the auction for a Buy it now while i was at work. Lol bought over taobao on my Iphone
Magick:
very nice price.. especially for 10. Great find. Now I have to hunt some of these down for me. LOL

If I could only get a translator for that site.. Would make things so much easier than trying to use a dictionary.
fireflyguy:
Awesome. I'm not going to troop build as that would get costly for these, but I am definitely keeping this one out of the 7 pack for display next to the blue Res Cobra trooper.
ULTRON:
    they do look very cool
DOC:

Thanks for the pics he looks cool... if you get a chance could you post some pics of the head up close with no helmet.
Dawg99:
    awesome score
    definetly a must have figure
goosetuber:
I'll try to get a better one tonight of the head for you. But the silver you really have to see how it looks in the light in person. It's very very nice
Gyre-Viper:
    thanks goose!!!
glad those damn shoulder pads are glued in place.
CrimsonGuard101:

they kinda did... i mean... the masks aren't plastic. heheheh.

maybe the figs are based off of concept art and not the finished bits.

DOC:
these have to look outstanding next to some resolute troopers

Looks more like molded rubber/plastic/latex lol to me, like a mask/gas mask would be made out of like Mutt's face guard or something similar. I dunno they did not show em long enough to really get a good look at em.
Gundamben831:
how in the frak do you have so-many already???

Gundamben831:
oh yeah totally forgot about taobao unfortunately I don't know any contacts that could help me buy something off there.
CrimsonGuard101:
I got 6 incoming but I think mine will not be as good as these form the way the auction was worded..why I am keeping my 5 Cobra Resolute 7pks on pre-order just in case...at least until WS_TOYS gets a million in if he ever does.
goosetuber:
    New and improved thread!

    Now With Hi-Res Images!!!!!

Not really Chrome, its just the metallic silver plastic th head is molded from.
Look at the pics and you'll see. I didn't think it would translate well in photos, but i'm surprised how close it does come. You'll note that you can still see blue around the eye openings.
vermillion21:
Thanks for the review - looks cool. I'll be getting a couple of these.
Mrs.Riot:
    I'm lovin' it.
Mrs.Riot:
    man these are saweeet!
CrimsonGuard101:
9 out of 10 with those new shots wow he is totally badass, woul d be even more so if they had armor plating on his legs would be a full 10.9 on the richter scale if he had em
steve2477:
Nice figure, thanks for the pics.
Slaymaker:
That is awesome! I would love to have a squad like that. army building that figure will not be cheap though, I am afraid.

    Thanks for sharing
Daver:
That's a good deal if you tell me, I have 10 Resolute troopers myself.
For as far as alleyvipers are concerned, I'm waiting for these guys to come out.
ChaplainAsst:
Someone send Alyosha an Res AV head so the rest of us poor folks can make our own armies! (Please?)

yeah I agree armor on the legs. Roc flash lower legs would have been perfect, especially since the were already using them for Zartan.

On a separate note... Paraviper Goggles work perfectly, look great, and are now easily available since family dollar and big lots has paravipers for $3-$4
KingStalin:
Here's hopping for a single carded repaint in the near future.
Highway:
Looks like you're about to have one fewer thanks to Snake-Eyes
goosetuber:
So glad that came out despite my cruddy iPhone camera!!!
Big IV:
gotta love troops that allow army building.
Karma Cop:
resolute AV's are the bees knees
babylon:
I wish they went one more step and gave these figures thigh armor like the cartoon.
