GI Joe Pursuit Of Cobra Wave 1 Jungle Assault Duke And City Strike Beachhead Preview

Got these in the other day and wanted to share!!! these did not come from retail just to specifiy
enjoy the pics and little review of whats to come!!!
first up is Duke
this is a solid figure all around everything is a new sculpt minus the torso (Reactive armor)
but this is exceptional on this fig.




as you can see he comes with some cool gear the webgear is really nice it has a ton of pouches and a machete holder with removable machete




there are two other rifles he has all new sculpts that i can tell and a new little pistol (but no holster for it) and his trusty flashlight




the backpack looks like it has real nylon stretchy straps for looks it still hooks via peg hole

the only thing i didnt like on this figure is no gun holster and his right hand pops off way to easy
but i give it a solid 5 out of 5

Beachhead is a WOW figure whoever sculpted this figure deserves big Kudos!!!
this guy knows how to assesorize
he comes with two rifles
a pistol
two smaller uzis (forgot there names)
some funky wet gear flippers
and a killer helmet/gasmask
and two knife sheaths but only one knife???? i stole a knife from one of my resolute guys to finish it
the webgear is top notch sculpt work and has so many details throughout begging to be repainted to see em




the helmet/gasmask is one of the coolest i have ever seen made for a joe!








i have no issues with this figure
a way above standard solid 5 out of 5

EDIT: Just saw that last pic you posted. POC Beachhead makes Res Beachhead look waaay too cartoony. The neon green smg doesn't help one bit.

i agree totally but thats cool since he is based more on cartoon as the POC is more around the live action Movies

Damn. Both of these look awesome.

Cant wait for these figs. Does this mean that Beachhead doesn't come with the cool looking silenced SCAR-L we seen in the pre production pics? Have hasbro dropped it as the US military have?! Shame really. Love the look of the figure though. Best ive seen from hasbro.

Is there a way to petition for this toyline to be contingent with G.I. Joe:Renegades being on shelves too next year? If we buy a lot and show retailers a great interest in this product and they continuously order more of it from Hasbro I wonder the possibilities.

I love both figures, the attention to detail on both are acceptional. Hopefully there is still a chance for some female characters like Jinx to show up with the new articulation scheme but who knows?

Hey, this is the coolest I've EVER seen Beach-head look. Can't say the same for Duke though I'll probably get a few of him to get his gear for other figs. I sure hope BH can hold those rifles properly. LOVE his gas mask!

Thanks for the pics! These are 2 of my favorite 6 PoC figs in wave 1.

I do like the BH, but I don't like the weapons that he comes with, although it's cool he comes with so many weapons, and I don't like the gas mask. I'm just not a fan of it. But it is a great figure, and I'm glad we're getting that one as well as the others.

Looks nice, and cool to see Duke looking more like Duke.

yeah i cant wait to get these and i hope poc is not short lived and that renegades or the new joe movie will not intefere with us getting more of these cool figs.
i see alot of cool customs coming from tankers when the poc line is readily available

Thanks for the updated pics. I think it's funny that they used a RIA torso for Duke. I think it would have looked better as maybe a regular tank top or something like that, you know, to fit in with the jungle theme more. But, oh well, that just helps with some customizing possibilities. I like the BH torso as well.

wow, beachead is suweet under his gear, I think I may just give him a belt and play him like that. Duke looks like he just got done mud wrestling.

I like the new Joe Star logo much better than the movie one. I did not know it would be on Duke's vest.

BH still looks too much like a Firefly and his Tiger Force pants are kinda weird looking giving he city strike right? Its like they could not decide if he was going to be desert or city...Think this guy is going to be someone else other then Beahhead for me, dunno who or what yet though.

Still liking the Tatum head for this Duke better. I guess I can just use him as another Jungle maniac, maybe a new version of Muskrat to hack and slash through the jungles with Billy and Tatum Headed version Ihave as Tunnel Rat.

I too wish this line would stick around longer then the 3-4 waves were going to get till end of 2011. I hope they dont stick to the 3 months per wave thing...maybe Renegdaes will get delayed a few years lol then POC can continue uninteruppted. Dunno why POC can't just be Renegades but I guess it follows suit with Hasbos plan to reboot GI JOE every year.

So tired of seeing pics from the POC line already. Im just ready to see'em in my hands ,retail or something please. Then again not long now I guess. Still not A fan of Dukes forearms tho they look A little to thin. But over all he and Beachhead do look great in the pics that I'm so tired of seeing from the POC line already haha.

Holy shit...these might be the best figures from wave 1. Might get 2 Beachheads, one to customize into Kamakura.

This is definitely a glass is half empty/glass is half full situation. On one hand Hasbro is giving us another throwaway Franken-Joe Duke. On the other we have an amazing Beachhead that will be the base for 1,000 customs! IMO Hasbro goes one step forward and one back in this wave.

Can't wait to get this Beach Head--amazing sculpt. Lookin Good!

heya Tank-driver I figured out why theres only one knife(well my resoning) the reason there's two sheaths is cuz when you have the gun in the right hand across the chest you have a place for the knife so the handle doesn't get in the way and you don't lose it

So now, what timeline of joe does this follow? sigma 6? ARAH? ROC? A new line? A future line? This is quite frustrating to collect
