Possible GI Joe Movie Snake Eyes Motorcycle

gijoe-movie-snake-eyes-bike-
HISS Tank.com has just received Images of what appear to be the GI Joe Motorcycle that Snake Eyes will use in the upcoming G.I. Joe Movie Rise Of Cobra.

No Official word has been handed down as to what the bike will be called or its affiliation with the film.

Update: IESB.net has posted the source of the pictures that were sent to HISS Tank.com. It would seem the bike was made for a party at SDCC 2008.

Dont get me wrong not dogging that sweet bike just saying if the logo and the clan symbol on there it just doesnt feel right for a live action movie......to me...love the bike it self.

I can already see the scene where Snake eye jumps off the bike mid ride for a flip and a kick in someones face......

Because in the movie it's not G.I.Joe, the actual acronym in the movie is G.I.J.O.E.

All 5 letters stand for something in the movie.

He made a very good observation.

I thought that was from an early version of the script that had been scrapped?

Actually in one of the GI Joe comics (can't remember if it was the Storm Shadow comic or maybe Arashikage Showdown) they comment that there's a "more aptly named" motorcycle for them to ride after one is mentioned.

I don't see a "realistic" military version of Snake-Eyes having his clan symbol on his uniform. A unit patch or national affliation patch, yes. Even then in a suppressed or velcro cover version like in today's covert ops.

The over use of emblems, markings and symbols is where the movie fails. They try to make it "realistic" yet "camp" it with the over use of markings. I would have preferred the characters to wear their traditional outfits not black vinyl. I want Cobra troopers and Vipers in blue jumpsuits and Cobra symbols on their chests not black vinyl. (how do you tell the enemy apart from the good guys?) Then again, I wasn't brought in to consult.....
Wait there's too many markings and you want them to put big target markings on the Cobra symbols that would make them easier to pick out in the dark, make up your mind.

And I don't mind the clan symbol, first off on not broadcasting who he is, as some have said... remember that Storm Shadow and Snake-eyes in all previous versions have the symbol as a tatoo. And as for realistic military? come on... If I recall correctly the last official use of a Ninja, was to sneak aboard Admiral Perry's black fleet and get some intel on the Americans. He's a freaking ninja-commando, he's not realistic, he belongs to a unit which in all versions is not held to many regular military conventions.

Anyone want to bet that theres an Arashikage store kinda like the raider store or the kings stores what ever team is your area? five to one hes got arashikage brand bandaids, arashikage symbol draws, and arashikage bran toothpaste and mouth wash. might as well just wear a big ol sigh around hsi neck that says HEY I BELONG TO SUPERSECRET CLAN OF NINJAS THAT DOESNT EXSIST! wow just keeps on gettin lamer and lamer.

and that is just lame.

IIRC, that's not the sword that Snake Eyes was holding in the promoshots.

I'm pretty happy with my existing 1:18 scale bike for Snake Eyes! I think it matches what they choose for the movie pretty well. It's a Maisto Honda CBR 1100xx die-cast toy. It's an amazing deal if you can find them at Walmart it only costs like $3! I might add the swords on the back, or pistols holsters above the handle bars on mine.

that does looks awesome!
Akunin:
Is that all the money they are putting into the swords? Who's the swordmaster in this?? Ok, the props suck. Hopefully the guns will be better... probably neon ala 90's Joe's. On the bright side they are using the same Parelli tires as the one's on my bike!
hectorxd:
you guys are worried about seeing the logos too much on the bike in the movie? Unless the camera does a slow pan across the bike or you are looking for them, you wont notice them. He will likely be tearing through a city on the bike and the camera will be shakey to make it seem like he is going faster. Quick cuts and big action. Afterward you wont even remember seeing the logos on the bike.
Dawg99:
looks pretty cool
TheLongestDay:
from piecing the set pics together,Im guessing Snakes is on his bike chasing the black 4x4 containing SS and Baroness through the streets, then leaps off it onto the roof-then sticks his sword through it causing it to crash...hence Baroness having a bloody head

This is a freakin' toy for cripes sake! Get over yourselves! Bunch o' braying sheep!

With that said, the bike looks cool. Everything Joe related has their logos all over it. Even "G.I.Joe" is in the camo pattern on their BDU's. It might be because this is a movie based on, oh I don't know, A TOY!
Troynos:
I hate speculation. There is nothing that says this bike is from the movie. I still maintain that it's a fans bike.

But speculation is useless. All this "energy" wasted on what could end up being a fan's bike. If it's announced as a fan's bike, then I gurantee all these negative comments would become "wow, that's cool".

How about we not post comments, positive or negative, on something until it's an official release? That way we know for sure that we're commenting on something real.

The one thing you are not thinking about here is this is an online Community....we come here and bullshit with each other....Talk about what we dont and do like......We are human beings who are able to form thoughts about what we like and dont like....this movie also threw away plot points that have been in affect since the line started......they threw away the things we all love because they said they wouldnt work in a live action movie.....

Yes a Movie based on a toy line, but in the words of the producers a live action movie that is set in the real world.....So if certain things wont translate into a movie because it woud be to cartoony (Cobra Commanders Voice anyone) then why woud a bike that looks like a toy translate better......even the Vehicles in the comic didnt have the logos all over the vehicles.....

Give me a break dude.....your talking about us acting like babies and we need to act like adults?? Your answer or you think your answer sounded so Adult like....you sounded like a baby who is not getting his way because were not mindless robots who have to like everything that comes out with the name GI Joe on it. I look at this place like an extended family....you like Everyoone but sometimes you just arent going to agree....

By the way the thread was to talk about the bike....next time if you think were being stupid and you dont like what we are saying....try this concept....try another thread......By the way I agree the bike is cool....its pretty bad ass........but I doubt a ninja would broadcast his clan symbol on his bike.....I doubt a Secret Org. Would Broadcast there name on Everything they ride on or drive....they wouldnt be a secret anymore.

Does the FBI have there Letters all over there ride no....I bet if they had toys the vehicles would......and if the rest of the Community doesnt want to come here so be it.....Ivebeen on other boards and this is by far the funniest and BEST one out there......By the way the rest of the Joe Community is being stupid right now because they think they know what the tank is about.......This is the BEST GI Joe site around...PERIOD!!!!!

i agree Pit. im surprised that they stepped so far into the "fantastic" and put logos on it at all.
personally, im glad to see them. id rather it look like a live action toyline/cartoon translated into a movie than a cartoon/toyline translated into real world.

Those are nothing more than a pair of the new Joe logos mirrored against each other. If you had looked about 50 pixels to the right on the page the pictures were posted, you would have seen the exact same logo on your monitor. You might try paying a little attention and reading the rest of the thread before posting next time. Welcome aboard, noob...

I'm still thinking this is either a fan bike or that most of these logos were added after shooting.

I own this bike. It's a Buell 1125R with a seat cover and a few minor fiberglass modifications.

Although, I did put a Cobra sticker on the front of mine. ;)

Some are trying so hard not to be a "mindless robot" for Hasbro that they end up as "mindless robots" in the other direction.

I'm too cool for school. I'm gonna say negative things, so people will think I'm cool. I'm gonna shake the system. Go against the man. Even if I really like it, I'm gonna say it's lame, so I can be cool.

Not liking something is fine, and discussing why you don't like it is fine as well, but not liking something just for the sake of not liking something is...well, LAME! lol

I personally think the movie is going to blow chunks, but it's going to be what it's going to be.

All some of you guys do is criticize the board, the admins, the mods, and the content. Why are you even here?

Extended family? If you guys were my family and came over for Thanksgiving dinner and all you did was complain about everything like you do here, I'd tell you to go home! lol

I have no idea where it was said this movie was set in the real world. All I've ever seen is it's pushed the Sci-Fi and fantasy elements of G.I.Joe to make it less realistic like James Bond or X-Men. What a "real ninja" would do was thrown out the window a long time ago.

Do you think we say Negative things to be cool......How old are you? Im almost 30 HighSchool Crap went out the window a loooooong time ago....

Ive went back to all the post on this thread and everyone who said they didnt like it gave a reason....what are you talking about?

Must be nice to have such a peaceful Family man....I know when mine get together 4-5 of them argue...yes even at Thanksgiving and Christmas...

And Criticizing the mods I dont do that.....but you know something The President is our leader here in America and I dont like things he does....but Ill still respect him because he is the Prez...

Again you dont have to agree on every damn thing here....you dont have to agree everybody....One of my close friends here says some of the dumbest things....his still my friend...

Don't know sarcasm when you read it do you? He was making a joke about the emblems being mirrored.

Also, nice way to welcome someone to the "community". Respones like that are what give this place a bad name. My first impression, and I don't think I'm alone, was that this was an overwhelmingly negative and rude place. Responses like that just reinforce that impression.

Sarcasm Troynos? You sure about that? In context I have a hard time believing it amongst all the other complaints about the bike. I took it more as mistaken piling on.

I'm afraid I will have to disagree with you again, twice in one response, sorry. Closed minded, negative people who do nothing but criticize things they really have no idea about give this place a bad name. You can check my postings all over the place and you will find very little if any of that. (Everybody has their crotchety days).

Give me a break, I was welcoming the noob to the site and giving him some advice at the same time. I'm sorry if I hurt his feelings or yours... I didn't realize this was also the patron internet home to the thin-skinned (now there's some sarcasm for you...).

Consider it kinda like a right of passage.

"Welcome to the family. Now Pay Attention!"

Is that better?

Back on topic guys, the bike, like, dislike? Discuss the bike.

Um, why are there swords strapped to the side of the bike with the hilts pointing backwards? I know he's a ninja, but how the heck is supposed to pull them out when he's riding the bike? (I assume that's what they're for or else why put them on the bike in the first place?)

It could simply be for storage, or...

Snake-Eyes can do the Arashakage back-flip, grab the swords, and slice whoever is behind him to ribbons.

Yeah, I can totally imagine SE hoping off the back of the bike in motion, grabbing the swords and sending the bike crashing into some Cobra vehicle while he does some crazy hollywood ninja moves and slices up a bunch of Vipers or something.

Same thing I'm wondering too. For the toy it will be cool, but I wonder how it will work in the movie.

Storage. I know someone that mounted sword sheaths to her bike (yes, her). And the hilts face backwards. I believe if you mount it the other way, the hilts would get in the way of riding.

They seem like something someone not in the profession would concoct for their own fan bike. It's overdone and SE would never have a blood splattered Buell symbol on his bike. it's to in your face, and he's a man of NO words. Whe the blatant bloody buell logo?

Plus, if i am not mistaken here, Buell has licensed out the exact same bike to the Transformers 2 movie as ARCEE, why would they do that? Same bike both movies? Lacks product placement variety.
Shin Densetsu:

Makes things easier for Hasbro, might just be once license fee instead of two. I'm not exactly sure on that one though.
rob0213:
It's a bike. Looks OK, not really leaning one way or the other. I agree, there seem to be way bigger problems with this movie than this bike. Not a fan of all the logos (seems kinda Nascar-ish to me). I will wait and see.

Take a deep breath. It's only a bike. And besides, it's not like you're going to see the logos when it's flying by on screen at 80 MPH.

The two painted pieces ( the plastic tank cover with the buell logo and the rear piece with the clan symbol) do look "aftermarket" and likely would be obscured by a rider in the movie, whereas the gijoe and the eagle logos looks bit more permanent.
The rearview mirrors have removed to improve aesthetics
I was aware as the article mentioned it.

I just thought it would be funny if Kawasaki had made the bid for the tie in. Its like when Bond drove the BMW Z8. Kawasaki could have done TV spots with "Even real Ninjas ride a Ninja."
