Hot Toys G. I. Joe: Retaliation 1/6th Scale Snake Eyes Images & Information

Hot Toys G. I. Joe: Retaliation 1/6th Scale Snake Eyes Images & Information
Couple of weeks back, we received a news regarding Hot Toys acquiring license to manufacture toys for the upcoming Jon Chu movie; G. I. Joe: Retaliation.

Despite earlier rumors of The Rock as Roadblock being the first figure to come out, today we have images and information regarding Snake Eyes. The news comes from Hot Toys Official Facebook Page and the toy images look as though they came from movie stills. Yep, it's... that good.

"In view of the popularity of the G.I. Joe series and the launch of the G.I. Joe Retaliation movie in early 2013, Hot Toys is proud to present the Snake Eyes Collectible Figure from the G.I. Joe Retaliation movie as the first collaboration with Hasbro. The movie-accurate collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Snake Eyes in his black “military ninja” bodysuit in the movie, highlighting the character’s image, highly detailed costume and weapons."

We have mirrored the images with this news post. Take a look, after the jump. Enjoy!

Amaury Sanderson:
When Snake-Eyes meets Robocop...
tycondrius:

damn you now I want this
USAgent:
damn... amazing. Just keeping up with the Avengers Hot Toys is bad enough. Maybe.....
ilzuccone:
so sessy
composhop:
Great, 2013 should be a good year... now i think it's the beginning of a financial disaster. :(
The first 1/6 G.i.Joe figure i really like and want.
Gatilho:
This figure looks awesome
Maulfett:
wao, looking for more images for the back armor and sword, this action figure is great
Gatilho:
I'm glad I didn't buy the new Snake-Eyes figure that Sideshow just released, because this one looks much better already, and I'll certainly want it.
ziarenek:
This guy + a Hot Toys Storm Shadow... They are B-O-U-G-H-T!
Gundamben831:
wow and I just got my Sideshow SE this looks pretty damn awesome but still... the pricetag on this fig will probably be well over $200
eddy-arashikage:
He will look great next to my dark knight rises batman and maybe we can finaly find out who would win!
Superjoe74:
I don't like the Snake Eye's costume design for Retaliation or ROC. Even with that said- the figure itself looks amazing. Hot Toys continually sets the bar for the most accurate and detailed 12" figures. However much I don't like this version of Snake Eyes, I can't deny the resulting figure is amazing.

I can't wait to see the Cobra Commander design in this format. That is one redesign I like.
DESTRO:
Pass - Snake Eyes is played out for me. But it's a nice figure. It will also be very expensive, most likely over $400.00
Konigstiger:
180 sounds about right for the current pricing on "standard" HT figures.

If it's only going to be $180.00 then I might think about it.
X-factorz:
I'll pass on the Mighty Morphin Power Ninja Commando...the figure looks great as an almost identical representation of the costume from the movie but that doesn't look like SE to me.
The Commander:
MINE!!!

Seriously, want this NOW.
Sciencefriction:
lol Destro, it'll be around $180. $400 would be a 1/4 scale figure, not 1/6. Still an arm and a leg, but more reasonable.

This figure is terrific, very, very tempting.
The Commander:
They need to show CC next. Gawd that'd be awesome!
cmderinchief:
I may be down for this one. I'll be watching for pre-orders.
Dolemite:
This figure is fantastic...I don't normally collect in the 12" format, but this is one that might change my mind. It's that good. Although in the 10,000 pictures released there could have at least included one of his back...I'd like to see the detail there as well.

One little thing...aren't the leather pieces around his neck supposed to be brown instead of black? Minor complaint, if any. This SE rocks either way.

BTW, is there a Hot Toys Retaliation Cobra Commander slated to be released as well? Anyone know?
GI abe444:
That Looks Awesome !! Expensive but Awesome
Davestro:
Very nice and will be pricey compared to Sideshow's offerings. Look at how much the Avengers and Batman stuff is going. Really surprised they didn't do Rockblock first, since he's the headliner for the movie.

Hope we see Cobra Commander next. Imagine a Bruce Willis as Joe Colton?
07GT500 COBRA:
While I'm, also not that ecstatic over SE movie look, that figure is gorgeous and tempting my wallet for sure.
Tomahawk:
cool
Mr. Gone:
this is Sideshow's wet dream...they wish they could match this caliber for their overpriced crap they been putting out.
neapolitan joe:
Better then Sideshow! Awesome work, Hot Toys!
Megastar:
Does Snakes Eyes never look good?

I doubt it'll end up being more expensive than SS's latest Snake Eyes.

With Snake Eyes, they don't need to pay a fee for the actor's likeness, I should think.
Keenan:
This is fantastic looking. Can't wait to check it out in person.
CobraBlue:
To me it seems they got the costume wrong. The upper-half looks good, and they stuck with regular cargo pants instead of some sort of matching leg/military armor.

It looks like he's wearing chinos, might as well of colored the pants khaki.

I'm not finding a whole lot of photos of Retaliation Snake Eyes that go below the waist, but it looks like what HT has got here is what he's wearing. Take it up with the costumers on the film, as they're the ones to credit/blame.

I wonder if that might not actually be Ray Park's preference. His costume in the first movie had plain trousers worn over the boots as well.

ThinkTank:
I thought it was a real movie poster at first. It looks very impressive. If you paint over the Arashikage symbol, it would be perfect.
Waxy:
Not a fan of 1/6 stuff, but that's tempting. Even more tempting would be a Retaliation CC, since I actually like that design.

maybe it's to allow him more freedom of movement when perorming his martial arts mastery!
supersonicshion:
I just can´t see how they didn´t go with the Commando version instead of the cheesy Batman´s armor plates thing.

Anyway, the figure does look awesome,
Troops of Doom:
Wow, looks good.
CobraBlue:
Hot Toys did a 100% conversion of what SE wears in Retaliation. I just think it looks silly for him to be wearing trousers that are baggy. There could have been something better looking and realistic the costume designers could have done.

There were going for the Resolute/Renegades look. Whereas, they should have gone with the look of the SE V2 first Side-Show figure.
IIIzoeIII:
I saw this thing earlier today and was blown away...this makes sideshows dolls look really bad.If I collected this type of thing it's a must have.Probably the most impressive SE to date.

I never was thrilled about the bottom of the costume
they make extra props though don't they?
you could get some black knee pads and combat boots and make this even better.

give me a break! this is a nice piece,BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE SIDESHOW JOES LOOK BAD...
MeLikeJinx:
I don't like how they make SE look kinda short and squatty... it doesn't matter onscreen because they can just use close-ups and cool angles and stuff. Plus, in action scenes you don't really notice Ray Park's physique, he's too busy doing cool ninja stuff.

But as a action figure... I prefer my SE more on the tall and slim side. Everything else about that Hot Toys SE is pretty awesome though... great head and upperbody sculpt.

Totally agree...no Hot Toys snobs here please. Plus, this is not ARAH, but Retaliation. I hope Sideshow keeps putting out quality GI Joe figures.
hotmitts:
Great looking figure no doubt, but I ain't spending $200 or whatever it is on 1 figure.
Crazy Legs:
Man,they made that weird looking getup from the film look good. And everything is colored black! That's worth the extra 50 bucks!

im joking.
jignacio_2k:
Damn Snake eyes needs to lay off on the food...he looks tubby and short (nothing wrong with that but).

easy PASS for me Muwaaahhaaaa
