Wave 2 GIJOE Retaliation Firefly Images are now up for your viewing pleasure. Ray Stevenson takes on the role of Firefly for this head sculpt. The figure is packed with the "Blast Board" that holds a light up feature when activated. Firefly also has the canister shown in the trailer when he releases the small "firefly like explosives" onto the GIJOE team.

He's pretty cool looking. I'll grab him. The paint apps on the back are awfully intricate for something you'll never see.

He looks very cool. I will def be picking him up in the stores.

I love this one! Although, he will not be Firefly in my Joeverse, he will make for a great troop builder.

I got this fig MOC from VipersKingdom and I love it. Very intricate paint apps- looks cool from every angle. The unmasked head looks even more awesome on POC Firefly and the upcoming Cobra Invasion Firefly.

Best one since the Retaliation trooper.

A little paint and this could turn out to be a perfect War Zone Punisher.

Holy cow, nothing but good things on this Firefly so far.
Oh well, before the nah sayers put in their 2cents, I'll just do it for them.

1. Why is his hair grey?
2. Was the luge idea from the concept drawings?
3. Why spend money to paint a yellow square on the luge? When they could've included a stand.
4. He looks nothing from what we saw in the trailer.
5. Does he have ankle articulation?
6. Will his arms glow in the movie?
7. etc etc etc


Just like Snake Eyes I'll get him since I haven't bought a new Joe since June 2012. Nothing on this figure screams Firefly(ARAH or Movieverse), but he does have custom potential.

Are the ankles articulated?

I wouldn't buy it, and if I had it, it wouldn't be "Firefly" to me. If someone gave one to me, I'd make it into a new character... Maybe "Captain Fancy-jacket." He can hang out with other characters I've created like "Buckle-chest", "Long-arm Ted" and "Major Longpants."

With names like that I'm beginning to believe you were part of the GI Joe design team when they came up with all that bullcrap back in the 90s.

Not sure where / why the street luge concept came from but I'll take it and almost any accessory over those foolish spring power launchers any day.

And of course always having the option to toss it away is fantastic too! (I'm looking at you, Roadblock with built in Gun Kata hands)

I love the character of Firefly and really want to find a reason to get this, but no matter how long I look at it, I just can't justify it.

This did not need to happen.
Firefly could have looked the same as he did in '84 and looked great.
People just wanted him included. There was no reason to change his look.

I don't understand this costume choice any better than Storm Shadow's outfit in the last one.

As far as this figure, the masked head is all I want from it.

I can't decide whether it's the bright green that makes me think of Firefly v2, or the green and yellow that have me thinking Python Patrol.

Still deciding if the head looks enough like him to make a "War Zone" Punisher figure.

I like the overall look of the figure It has a kinda sick vibe to it...but sadly with the reduced articulation.....puts it on the no buy list.

I'll stick with the three-pack FF. This is NOT Firefly to me.

Don't like the look of this one... every thing about it is just a little bit off. Can't wait for the other version we've seen with the green coat.

By far one of the most highly anticipated
movie figures. I want one

Everybody forgets about the "Faceless Master" of the Koga ninja clan. And pass on this one. The 3 pack version and one with the HISS drone are the only one I want.

The only GIJOE Retaliation Movie figures that come with stands that I have seen so far are the Amazon 4 packs. In short there are no stands. If you guys are smart you would buy up the 25th figure stands lots on eBay before the prices go up.

I want it for the unmasked head mainly. When I first saw it, I was thinking Gen Rey.

I like the concept of him. The little vehicle is pretty cool.

The color is WAY off unless this figure is getting airdropped into Colombia.

Good figure from the knees up...else wise a real stinker.
That sled he comes with and those gimmicks they pack in are a total waste of plastic...you can't tell me that they had to sacrifice ankle and knee articulation to include that garbage. It's a bad decision, not a necessary one.

Pass, I'll use my ROC Firefly for my Retaliation cast

I like this figure and the redesign of the costume. I will be buying it and using it for parts though.

This is just all around awful. The ROC Neo Viper alone with no accessories makes this figure look like poop. Although...I do think the sled-mini-vehicle thing is a neat idea the kids will like.

Well this is terrible. Cool design on the back but the rest is pure garbage. But hey is for the kids right?

This is a pass but if anyone's buying him for parts, i.e. the head, I'll take the upper legs with guns, holsters, screws and hip joint pads.
