I got my GIJOE Wave 3 Retaliation Movie figures in the mail today. I will have full High-Res images of all the figures I received. First up is Lady Jaye and IMO she turned out awesome. The face sculpt is nice the paint camo is really nice and the weapons are many....

That is awesome. I cant wait to get this figure.

Factory face paint is busted, as usual, but that buck is still a good one, so one or two of these may be on my list.

She's HORRIBLE.*

Granted, the paint doesn't helps at all, but she doesn't looks like Adrienne Palicki. Chubby cheeks, pouty mouth (Palicki tends to make pouty mouth, but she's beautiful), and those lines at the sides of the nose make her look aged.

I hope it can fix her with some new paint, because the figure aside of the awful head looks great.

Yuck--that mug. And I know digi-camo is what they use now, but g'damn it's ugly, especially in these colors. Easy pass for me.

That girl is uglier than a corn dog in a bowl of piss. She has a decent enough paint job on the Renegades Scarlet body, and the plentiful and well painted accessories justify a future purchase. The fact that my current Lady Jay does not have wrist articulation is the final factor to convince me to buy this figure when it is released.

We need pictures of this figure head swapped with the other versions of Lady Jay because I suspect this figure will be of most interest to those of us who only got a past version of her that could not swivel wrists. I still do not understand why Hasbro did that.

Anyone who has the 25th version of Lady Jay that can swivel her wrist probably will not want this figure unless it is for a custom or kit-bash.

Once again Hasbro turns a beautiful actress into a plastic hag. First Sienna Miller now Adrianne Palicki.

I'll probably grab her just for her weapons assortment. Maybe it will look slightly better in hand.

The figure is definitely one I want and for a repaint is awesome, but it is kinda disappointing that couldn't have done a bit better on the face. it looks a bit too round. Why does Hasbro seem to have difficulty in translating real life attractive female faces to figures? They did good jobs on channing and marlon. Oh well...the figure still looks nice and I'm still getting it. Thank you for posting pics!

up close I think it doesn't look that great but at actual size in hand it might not be that noticeable.

The toy doesn't looks to Palicki on Gi Joe, or in WW.
Mouth is totally different in shape, same for cheekbones. The toy looks like an aged woman.



I'm seeing that the eyes aren't well painted (on the toy!), maybe that could help (a repaint i mean).

Maybe it's different on purpose, so they can keep using that head without having to pay for likeness...

My kids have asked for a dog for Christmas. I guess I'll get them a Retaliation Lady J figure. Ugh.

This figure looks great and seeing what the actual Actress looks like in comparison the head sculpt looks better just needs a better paint job.

February can't get here soon enough.

I'm usually the Hasbro defender around here, but I got to say:

Hasbro is worried about rising costs, cutting paint apps on figures and even cutting accessories....
But they are painting weapons (multiple in this case). The befuddles me.

As to the figure: I missed Ren. Scarlett, and I don't find the face sculpt insulting. And even though I ragged above about painted weapons...they DO looks nice and there is a GREAT selection included.
Like the Alley Viper, it isn't something I'm compelled to seek out...but I won't feel insulted when I order one as part of the wave 3 set.

Forget Lady Jaye! I think I just found the female Spearhead I've been thinking about!

Holy CRAP! I need this figure. It sucks...because I told myself that I'm content with the "Classics" style figures from 30th Anniversary and Pursuit of Cobra, and that I would not be building the Retaliation team...but between the "Ultimate" figures and this Lady Jaye, I think I will get the Retaliation Joe team.

She looks fantastic, off looking headsculpt aside. Though, she desperately needs some web gear to go with all those guns and knives!

I don't mind Retaliation Lady Jaye as she is right now.

Just wondering why can't they make actor-likeness heads in scale with the body? Like a bit smaller?

RoC Cover Girl and Scarlet looked good and they're some of my favorite female figs btw.

But well, she doesn't comes with a cocket-launcher, i guess that's the option.
Ultimate Duke and Firefly for example, come with Data Viper's plane, and Cancelled Jungle CC's Drone respectively, no launchers. Thankfully!
The opposite is poor Bruce Colton, with a HUGE stupid 4 launcher, and some small extra item.

If i understand well, taht's a double edged sword on Star Wars... you get a fully loaded manadlorian on one side, but a tiny, accessory-less Yoda on the other, the balance is on the whole wave. At least on Joes the balance is per figure, not wave.

I like to think my judgement is fair, despite how much I like Hasbro and G.I. Joe; if they make a great product I commend them and conversely, if it's poor I criticize it.
The figure has potential for customizing and creating a new Joe- or perhaps a troop builder. It does not look like Palacki though and the head sculpt is terrible.

She´s just a straight Scarlett repaint so there´s really no big deal for me.

I like the weapons she comes with. I will buy one just for those.

1) Its a million times better than ROC Cover Girl...whose head looked so manly I was able to make a custom Karl from Die Hard with it.

2) I'm glad for nearly any new female head mold

3) I like the paint aps for the body.

That's odd. Now only does that look nothing like what Lady Jaye wears in the trailers, but I do not remember her head being that huge.

It may not be the Lady Jaye we know so well...but I'll take it.

Passing on this,HASBLOW didn't even make an effort to come up with a new sculpt head & body for her.
That's so typical,making a buck on older stock that they give a repaint...

Great accessory assortment and camo. Wish the body armor was dark brown but that's minor. Hopefully I can find one with the eyes painted in the right place.

just saying it looks more like that then she does in JOE.

Very ugly face...I sure hope they clear that up for the production figure. Even as-is this figure is worth picking up in multiples just for those awesome weapons!

The head is new *although butt-ugly*
The body is reused, but most fans liked Renegades Scarlett, so it makes sense to reuse it.
90% of Joes (and almost all big lines) are made with repaints and reuse, that's the idea.

I'd rather say NO to shitty 5P drivers than a far-from-crap figure that just needs a bit of work!

IMHO, this is definitely one of the worst figures ever. It doesn't even look like it belongs with GI Joe. From the sculpt to the colors, it's pretty shitty overall.

Please mind you: this is just my opinion. I know there will be people who will like this figure, the same way I like figures that are prettty shitty to others.

I love the Ren Scarlett design and this looks great. The head I can live with.

The figure isnt too bad. I dont mind the renegades scarlett body being reused. I can live with the head. I especially like all the weapons she comes with. I will definitely be picking her up.

I don't think its that bad, i will be buying her for sure. Its Nowhere near as bad as the Sienna Miller figure was.

Love the figure and I like it even better than it comes with a ton of accessories versus the gimick weapon.

Not a bad figure for a repaint. And she looks different enough I think I found my Mayday figure. Also a fairly decent weapons assortment for any figure.

I don´t think it´s such a horrible character. It´s just a repaint and that´s pretty much it. I don´t know why so hate about it, it´s just a repainted Renegades Scarlett.

As I said, this is just my opinion. I do believe the overall quality of the figure -- head, sculpt, vest -- sucks. And that is enough to rule out this figure for me.

A little less shitty than this guy, but with a definitely worse headsculpt.
