Joe:Rise of Cobra movie! Previously, we had an image with the mask on, this newer image shows more details of the costume.

Kinda looks like dirt-bike riding gear too. This movie just needs to come out now so we can get all the speculation over. That way the haters have reason to hate and the lovers have reason to love... or vice versa. HissCommander: is that christopher reeves? I want some damn color in outfits. Movies are for entertainment and don't have to be realistic. GMunny: While I have to agree with the "everyone wearing black" comments as it really wouldn't have been hard to change these to a dark blue...the costumes aren't that bad. That chest plate is begging for a Cobra insignia, and doesn't look all that different that a HISS Driver's chest plate. Get over the fact that not everything that has GI Joe on it will make me loose my mind........Why watch it for free? Because its like driving by an Accident You hope no one got hurt but deep down inside you want to see some wreakage....and gore........
I hate Stargate...but I watch it on Saturdays for free when there is nothing else on.........

Most are OK, a few made me wished I'd stayed home, and fewer yet had a postive impact on my life giving me inspiration and something to discuss for years to come like Raiders of the Lost Ark or the Original (only) Star Wars trilogy.
When I check out the list of movies for next summer, I'll choose to go to this one because its called "G.I. Joe." If its bad, I'll have wasted the same amount of of money I invested into getting really bad gas from Meal #6 at Taco Bell yesterday. Which is a drop in the bucket compared to the money I already put into my Joe collection.
This IS a G.I. Joe discussion forum, so people should yak about all things G.I. Joe including a upcoming movies, but I'll take the advise from Ham Salad in "Hardware Wars":
"Take it easy kid, its only a movie." mech-grunt: I am still going to hold my opinion until I actually see the movie for myself. The whole black is just a Hollywood thing. It’s more of the cool guy look than anything ells. If you look at the Armed Forces you will see little to no black, because it is a none tactical color but it looks cool in the movies. Myself I would have preferred to see the Joes in digital uniform from there perspective branch but it’s a movie. Lo-Wan Bing: Cool. When II comes out (..hope..) they'll probably have a Cobra logo on 'em. I like the 'padded-armor' look, I would hate to see Destro selling puffy blue blouses and black handkerchiefs to CC and calling it a battle uniform. Cobra-Viper: I like it, looks believable at least...and on camera in a film it should looks good.

Tracker: i get a good since of realism from the costumes. When Joe vs cobra was relaunched I didn't care for the first wave, since it seemed like they wanted to start it wierd in an alternate reality. I absolutely hated the neo vipers and thought they were the worse concept for troops (in design). Who voted that neo vipers were best to choose from, and where the hell was I? I am getting so sick of these guys taking their liberties too far. This reminds me of the He-man movie. There were how many figures/characters already preexisting, why did they need to go off and make new characters for the movie. I would have liked to seen the original characters fit in with he-man, on eternia, not earth, like teela, man-at arms, and stratos etc. That movie was bad cause they turned it on its ear and used little from the lore. I think they are going to do the same with the Gi joe movie. Seriously, I think these "creative directors" starting with Bryan Singer need to be gathered up, put in a rocket, and flown directly into the sun. I am sick of this bullshit. I want a Gi joe movie I want to see. If people are flocking to the toys now cause they didn't change anything and brought it up a notch, whats to say a movie like that wouldn't get people to flock to the theaters to see it. I guess we can thank Micheal Bay and his transformers movie for making people think that change is needed for a movie to be successful.
