HISS Tank.com boards member braxthunder found the G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra Mission Dossier book at his local bookstore. The MSRP for this book is $14.95, and the book itself is surprisingly bigger than one might expect at that price.
The book features a wealth of information on the movie, including the thought process for some of the designs, and background information on the characters and vehicles.
HISS Tank.com boards member sn8ke3y3s has posted a few sample images of the book, to give us an idea of what to expect. Click on the title bar to check them out!

Not sure if this is in another thread, if so, please move it.
I purchased the G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra Mission Dossier this morning at Barnes and Noble. Members pay around $10 and some change but I paid full price $14.95 plus tax. Very good read.144 pages of character insight, cast and crew commentary, key moments in the film, and lots of pictures and spoilers galore. I have no pics but check out Borders.com and barnesandnoble.com to see the cover. Now you know!! If you already knew then that's half the battle...

I plan to look for it this weekend.
However, like I did last year in regards to Indiana Jones/Crystal Skull, every ROC-related book and magazine I buy I will set aside and not read until after I've seen the movie, in order to avoid any spoilers.

I like these companion books and will be getting this.

Awesome! Yeah, I love movie companion books and was hoping there'd be one for ROC, but hadn't heard anything. Looking forward to picking it up.

But it seems like more of an activity book for kids, it kind of looks interesting though, I'll have to see the inside of it first to decide whether or not it is worth it.

If you guys haven't picked up the GIJOE Rise of Cobra Mission Dossier book yet- I highly recommend it! I just got back from my local Barns & Noble this morning and I haven't been able to put this book down! Lots of color photos and design sketches and character profiles. Below are some pictures that I took of the book this afternoon...Enjoy!

Whoa, that does look kind of sweet. That's a must buy for me. It reminds me of the book I got like this for the Watchmen movie, good quality stuff.
Thanks for sharing sn8ke3y3s!

Ow wow, when I saw the book listed at Play.Com, the title sort of gave the impression it was one of those 'kiddie fact file' books that get released. I didn't realise it was a full-blown colour 'making of.." style tome.
Just ordered a copy (although I don't think it's out over here yet)

Went to Borders during lunch, they were sold out of the book, that's a good thing I suppose. So I went to the kids section to check out that G.I. Joe Files book, and I think I'll be passing on that, it was kind of thin for an over $10 book, and it really didn't have too many photos in it, mostly artwork (someone trying to rip off J.Scott Campbell to give you an idea). It has a file attached to the inside cover with "documents" such as Joe records and stuff, it seems to an alright pick-up for a kid, but for me, I'll wait til I get the Mission Dossier.

I love these type of books. This one looks to be very well made.
Thanks for the pics, sn8ke3y3s!
