Tyroc: ROC figures hit Australia's capital yesterday afternoon.
Myer had Wave 1 figures and vehicles
Wave 1 (Duke, Destro, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Baroness and Neo Viper) A$17.95
Wave 1 vehicles - Ice Sabre (w Frostbite), Mole Pod (w Neo Viper), Armadillo mini tank (w Sgt Thunderblast) and umm it looked like the Ferret (w Scrap Iron) for A$42
I got some figures but the vehicles were pretty steep for stuff I have plenty of in vintage but I know I'll cave and buy em  Tyroc: Must admit I really like the desert camo Duke. Thinking very seriously of buying a bunch and swapping heads. Strom Shadow is pretty neat too. I'm kinda afraid to play with the Baroness too much in case I break her. She seems very fragile....the figure, not the character alexan2dros: 17.95 for single figure? thats a lot.... and 42 for the vehicles... Tyroc: Yeah that's in Australian dollars though. Shipping anything down under costs a fortune..I think they're like $7.95 a figure in the US??? Gas.Man: Yea I will be more then happy to pay $17.95 per figurine, I was actually expecting them to be alittle more then that actually, but that's alright, as I said i'm more then happy with that price.
I had a quick look after work today around here, again... have been looking around here everyday after work this week, still nothing... if there is nothing here tomorrow in local stores i'm going to head outta town on Saturday and check out the stores in the place where i'm going, they'll more then likely have some stuff there, but I really hope stores here tomorrow have it all. Tyroc: they were at Myer, don't forget Myer has a 20% off storewide sale at the moment. I got mine for $14.95 each because of it.. Gas.Man: God Damn It!
Why can't we have a Myer here where I am, that's all the way in the City, like a 3 and a half hour drive, haha.

Though our vehicles are a bit cheaper - the Alpha vehicles (ATV, Mole Pod...) are selling for $35. Tyroc: yeah I really want the next wave more than this one. I want Cover Girl and Sgt Stone. Did you see in the NZ thread that the kiwis got them before us and they got both waves of figures plus all the vehicles including the Night Raven?.....sigh...damn kiwis

the stores have started too display their vehicles, and figures slowly!!!

Myer has the alpha wave vehicles real cheap, rrp $42 and they have them onsale for $26.95 for this week only
and K-mart got waves 1 and 2 and all alpha vehicles.
wave 1 Bravo they had the gunship and the hiss ? for $59.95, missing the snow vehicle with Frostbite
and they had the Night Raven for $94.95. Awesome I finally have a Night Raven.
No sign of the Pitt yet but seeing the shelves filled with joe stock in forever gave me a quiet sign of satisfaction...as corny as that sounds. I don't think Kmart has stocked joes in Oz since the 90's so it was quite a sight to behold. If I wasn't playing hookey from work (longest coffee break ever!) I would have taken pictures on my phone.
Kmart also had the combat heroes and battle heroes too but didn't pay much attention to them. foor: The only store selling them in Darwin at the moment is Toyworld. And that's only wave 1 of the figures. No vehicles, nada. Oh they had some GI Joe mighty muggs too.
I just bought a lone Scarlett and that was the extent of my Joe purchase. Still not sold on the other figures yet. Maybe my mind will change after the movie. In Canberra Myers has them for that price and that's only because they have a 20% stocktake sale. Kmart has them for $17.95 regular price. I've only seen Cover Girl from wave 2 so far.

Although I did end up getting a Star Wars The Legacy Collection StarFighter which I am going to keep sealed & also got a Transformers Universe Optimus Prime Deluxe Class Special Edition which came in a box with a flag at the front so you can see inside the package, looks kinda cool & only cost me $39.99 also. foor: Quote:

just joined the forum after seeing all the cool stuff that's posted here.
I just had a bit of a joe hunt around sydney myself, went to k-mart in the morning at broadway where they have the figs but aren't discounted at all, i.e. 17.99, then saw big W's catalogue which have them for 12.98. So i went around to my 2 closest big W's but the disappointing thing is they only seem to have a limited selection. I was looking for shipwreck, ripcord and they didn't seem to have any, from what i remember, there was only destro, baroness, snake eyes, storm shadow, vipers and desert duke. they also only have the small vehicles like the mole thingy and the armadillo tank, there were no gunships or night ravens.
I did manage to get the figs i wanted from k-mart for 12.98 after price matching so the day wasn't a total loss.
I'm quite looking forward to these target exclusives i'm reading about |
