Bad Sociologist:
We got in some ROC merch on today's truck and I scanned the figures to get the street date.

Evidently we got a serious bump on the date. We are also setting a huge feature shop on July 22nd to replace the current Transformers one.
ntfrceshockwave:
Yeah dude stuff is starting to come in here in L.A. What figures are in C2 ??
RolandofGilead:
So the figures will be on the pegs July 4th, but the big TRU display won't be until the 22nd?

I can live with that.
ntfrceshockwave:
GI Joe is going to move in with part of the Transformers section. It makes no sense taking transformers down when the sales are good. GI Joe will have it's turn, I can't wait.
Zoltron:
I just hope no one scalps those steel crushers.

That's the only vehicle I really want. It's gonna make a great Battle Van for my MU Punisher.
coola784:
let the hunt begin.

Are the alpha class vehicles in the stock room?
arc30:
Why does it have to be on the one day that I will be out-of-town with the family. No way my wife will let me go Joe hunting on a mini vaca. Damn!
Zefram:
GI Joe on July 4th?
That actually has some fairly cool logic to it.

Same here. I have to work that day at both places and will have no time to go toy hunting.
Beachhead17:
Sweet, although I'm on Holidays when these are released so I won't be able to pick 'em up.
Troynos:
Only 8 figures I really want. So that won't be too bad.
KuuKuuSon:
My TRU has figures in and won't be released until July 10th :(
Steel Brigade:
Love It!!
Goldface:
What a joke that these anti-American, Hollywood Joe toys will be released on July 4th.Where's the Real American Hero line and flag colors?
What next, invite Iranian diplomats to our embassies for hot dogs.
Oh wait that happen already!
arashikage tat:
awesome news
Ground Pounder:
wave 2 sounds good!
Sgt. Stowell:
I have been hitting all the stops every day just in case. My KMart ignored the Tramsformers release date and my Wal Mart put the Transformers out a day early with a sign asking people not to take till midnight ( I have a 24 hr Wal-Mart ). Here is to hoping!!!
fireflyguy:
Are the TRU toys going to be available at midnight on July 4 (aka Friday night July 3 @11:59 pm) or just when the store opens on Sat, July 4?

I believe Breaker is also in this wave, as I saw him on the floor at a TRU in Iowa (but they wouldn't let me buy them...) There's gotta be one more in this wave to make it an even 12/case, right? or is one of those double-upped maybe (breaker even maybe?)
arashikage tat:
I just can't wait to get SE, SS, Destro, Paris Pursuit SE and SS....and that's it

oh wait and the APV Steel Crusher
BHiga6181:
Do TRU have the Night Raven in the stockrooms yet??

That is all I want besides Snake Eyes and SS
Veedox:
I'm sorry, I cannot understand the RETARDED concept of release dates for TOYS. What the hell does it matter if people buy the little figures now as opposed to next Sunday or next Wednesday? Seriously, absolute BS. It's almost as if there is some sort of power trip going on.

They are toys for craps sake. If stores have them in stock, then dammit, SELL them to customers.

Funny how the Combat Heros (that nobody wants) are readily available RIGHT NOW and can be purchased at Targets across the country. Yet the rest of the line (the desired items) remains under lock and key... FOR NO LEGITIMATE REASON. If there is one, I'd certainly like to hear it.
DaViper:
If the transformers movie line is any indication, we shouldn't worry about not finding what you want on the shelf. It's seems like its wall to wall of movie product.
Dusty Ayers:
Isn't it kind of odd that they will be released before the big display is put up?

I was thinking of that too. The only thing I wonder if they will put out wave 3 along with the display. Hasbro said the earlier release is so they could have more product on the shelf when the movie hits.

I'm not even sure why those are out as opposed to the rest of the figures, it's one of those sightings that confused me.
Bad Sociologist:
You're right, Breaker is in Wave 2. The 12th figure may be a double like the Ripcord is.

We have the alpha vehicle, which are the Mole pod, that snowmobile thing, the Ferret, and the Armadillo redo.

Bravo is the Cobra Hoverpod and that blue repaint of the Venom vs Valor Joe snowmobile.

No Ravens or Hummers.

As for setting stuff without a shop, for Star Trek and Terminator, we had the stuff on shelves weeks before we set the shop.

I wouldn't be surprised if they released a few figs but kept the bulk for the 22nd.
Tracker:
very cool they release them on the 4th

It's one of the only vehicles I want for sure. I see that one being very useful for all sorts of characters but hadn't even thought about the Punisher until I read your post. What I'm curious about is how many figures can fit in the vehicle. Is it just the driver and one passenger or will it hold more than that?
tnk_boi:
does anyone know what wave desert patrol scarlett comes in?
MeLikeJinx:
I'm so glad; there is nothing I want on Launch day... I can just enjoy the fireworks now and watch the night race at Daytona.

Thought I'd repeat my question in hopes that someone knows the answer.

Also, when will other stores launch the ROC stuff? Will it be the same day or July 6?

It's not entirely uncommon for product to be on shelves a short while before "big display" hits. Toys R Us is pretty much the only store that does the big displays as it is. Wal-Mart or Target might do endcaps, but with TF2 still going to be going strong, I'm betting Joe isn't likely to get endcaps at Wal-Mart. Target is playing themselves up as "Joe Headquarters" though, so they might do endcap displays. Particularly when their exclusives start coming out.
Mr.Kane:
This is good news.
destro72:
Will the Paris Pursuit SE be released on July 4th, or just the regular version?
sharky:
So, why hasn't anyone tried to convince the manager to sell them early? Or, at least find out the manager's code. LOL!

Actually, I believe the 12th figure is Sgt. Stone in wave 2, cause I saw him as well.
klperry2:
I spoke with a TRU associate and he stated July 3rd. TRU has received shipments but cannot release until July 3rd.

Of course, so when the line fails, they can blame the holiday for it.

Because they will be everywhere on that date, so why try to get it early? unless they're scalpers wanting to make a quick buck.

Riiiight, because toy line success is solely measured by how well it sells on its' first day on-shelves?

Riiiight.
teemu8:
I like to know why the dates cant be a straight set date?

Hasbro says july 6th
some TRU's say july 3rd?
some TRU's say july 4th?
some TRU's say july 11th?

whats the real date here????

get over yourself, it was a frikin joke. ass
Barefoot Jedi:
Yet again I CD-skip it and declare that street dates for toys are idiotic.

The stores should just put them out when they get them, like they do the rest of the year.
