G.I. Joe Rise Of Cobra Special Helix Comic Alternate Cover

Brohawk has posted the alternate cover for G.I. Joe Special: Helix on his deviantart page. Both the inked version, and the colored version by Kelsey Shannon have been posted, and we've mirrored them here. Here is more information on the upcoming book:

Okay, I know the main cover artist had said the "targeting" stuff around her eyes was artistic liscense, but this guy has it too.

So yeah, I'm back to thinking she's enhanced.

I'm all for new characters, but she in no way appeals to me. First, she doesn't look like a GI Joe character. Second, the name Helix doesn't sound like a GI Joe name. I think this character will end up in the sam caterogy with Poochy and Cousin Oliver.

She's like Wraith - just another randomly introduced character.

I'm waiting for originals named 'Nocturne' or ''Sempai' to show up next. They will be very cool, because no one can beat their powers!

All comic books are essentially fanfics. They're just in this case officially licensed and approved fanfics.

Likewise, every new character is likely to be pumped up as a badass in their first appearances. Otherwise...what's the point? If Helix spends her first appearance being clumsy, inexperienced, and generally incompetent, there's not much sense in her being on the G.I. Joe team, is there?

Does anyone else think Helix bears a striking resemblance to Ophelia from the Snake Eyes DDP mini?

If Helix is suppose to be the future of Gi Joe. Why does she need Duke to keep her alive? She's suppose to be this super soldier thing like resident evil movies. Beside they have Snake eyes!!
