Bear in mind, there was never an Echo size class/pricepoint during the Venom VS Valor toyline, which used the Alpha & Bravo pricepoints. The biggest vehicle in that line was the Thunderwing which was $34.99, and we can presume that it was unofficially a Delta size class vehicle. So what does this mean? With the Echo size class, the BIG vehicles have finally returned to the mass market line!

Happy New Year everyone!

New G.I. Joe:Rise of Cobra movie toy listings, click here to see them!
Dawg99:
    cool night raven and hq
thornaday3:
They sound great...but pics are what is going to make the difference for me if I want to add them to my collection or not.
wardamnpjm:
HOLY ****** A Night Raven and PITT!!!!!!!! YES!! Can't wait. Maybe this will be a GREAT New Year if Hasbro does not hack them to shreds with crappy new movie detailing.Awesome news!!!!
Magick:
Hmm.. wonder what some of that other stuff is. I think its great we are getting a new night raven and HQ though. hopefully there is another joe jet or heli even on that list.

Anyone know when the new Python and TF Target exclusives are going to be hitting?
camper:
I don't know what all this means, but I'm in.
Lantern_Lad:
Sweet! If the movie is as bad as most say/want it to be, at least we'll be getting some (hopefully) cool looking toys.
thunderdan19:
I'd have to surmise that Joe will be countering the Night Raven with a Skystriker as well. We've seen twins on the other jets and there is already a known existence of a Skystriker in Resolute. I wonder if it would just be packaged differently for the movie and Resolute collections (similar to the MOCC)? Interesting news. Can we get an approximate price point for the Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and Echo releases?
Batmandk02:
Well Damn!! Hasbro is gonna stick it to me!! I better save up lots of cash because even if the movie is a crash and burn... at least if the toys look awesome.. I can pick those up!
Booga:
man, now i hope the movie does really well so we can get some more awesome stuff. The night raven is gonna be sweet!
Blade:
the nightraven will have sound. That does not fill me with hope ya'll. Remeber the great thunderwing from VsV. Kinda like that big goofy ass claw lookin thing on the new ferret. Why do they need to put sound bit things int hese toys...so they can charge more? Just leave the sound out and make it a cool lookin plane.
Syn3sthesia:
    Night Raven? Hell YEAH!!!!
WVMojo:
Sweet...those have to be new molds for the Night Raven and Headquarters. Can't wait!!!

It's a ploy by the man to keep today's kids from having an imagination.
wardamnpjm:
Wasn't there word of a 25th Strato Viper, but it never saw release? Maybe because he comes packaged in the new Night Raven. That would be sweet.Hasbro please don't screw this up and give us anyone other than a strato viper with the night raven.
Cold Slither:
I am EXCITED! I LOVE LAMP!
boff123:
sounds good, still would like to see them first. its the old night raven mold with sounds effects or a new one? still too many questions.

Agreed. Same goes for the headquarters and whatever else is to be found amongst all that stuff.
artiepants:
    no MSRP/Price with these listings????

I'm fairly excited to see what the HQ looks like, and if it'll fly with 25th figures.
Shin-Gouki:
I might MIGHT, get the Night Raven and the HQ provided they look better than what we have seen so far. However this year is NOT going to be expensive for me.
boff123:
any idea when they are going to hit? before or after the movie release?

agreed ~ based on what we've seen so far i'm only interested (potentially) in vehicles from this line-up.

The Night Raven from what I heard, is immediately recognizable, maybe some subtle changes here and there but the minute you see it, you know exactly what it is. Price is about $50 give or take. What I am worried about, is how the electronics will affect the vehicle. I personally hope we don't have another Thunderwing on our hands; proportions/aesthetics compromised for the sake of a joystick and electronics. Hasbro does have the vintage Night Raven mold intact, if it is retooled for the movie, I imagine the electronics won't affect it too much, there simply isn't much room to add any on there. Now if it is all new, I just hope proportions aren't compromised, and that we end up with a sleek, worthy successor to the RAH Night Raven.

Wouldn't be surprised if the toyline was released in July, that is a month after TF2. So from 4 months back to back, Hasbro basically has theaters(movies) and toy stores(movie toys) covered. God this summer is going to be expensive!
botticus:
Pretty sure the dimensions of the HQ unsurprisingly exceed my limits, no matter how cool it is. If it doesn't fit on a shelf, it wouldn't go anywhere other than a box.

    What about the HQ?
Freedom:
If I recall correctly, during JvC, VvV, and DTC, it was:
Alpha - aprox $10 price range
Bravo - aprox $15 price range
Charlie - aprox $25 price range
Delta - aprox $35 price range
Echo will probably be around at least $50
jaxscorpio:
A raven with sound effects eh? Guess I'll have to pull out the tools, bondo, sandpaper and paint...again. That is, unless Hasbro puts everything inside the vehicle and the only way to rip it out is to destroy the vehicle. If that's what they did then I guess I'll pass.
Pizza Man Z:
I Hope we get to see all of these at Toy Fair '09. The Pitt is going to be a big hit to the GI Joe Budget, better start saving now.

There never was a Charlie size class used though, but the price approximation is right.

If it is like TF1, the toys will hit a month early. Maybe the middle of July.

I wouldn't be surprised, since the toys will be hitting shelves by summer.

If Hasbro tools up the electronics in a removable pod that looks like a fuel tank or bomb, that would work out for all of us since nothing on the Night Raven would be compromised.

    What about the HQ?
The first that I heard of the HQ was from the listings I posted. I imagine that it is an all new mold, sounds bigger than the first two.
Hicks_Royel:
Must be coincidence that the PITT has the similar dimensions recently listed for the Mobile Command Center in another thread. Ah well, so long as it is that joe base from the 90s with the spring loaded gimmicks that was reused in street fighter later on.

As for the Night Raven, may it'll come with the Strato-viper we had, then lost, but were told we would see again.
gunslingercbr:
we better get some pics soon!

Actually....it might be bigger....with a lot more stuff.
Synthoid69:
    hell yeah!!
Batmandk02:
I think the TF1's hit the month of late-April... but I know for sure mid May. I can't wait for all this Joe stuff to hit!! Maybe I can just save my money and play alot of Rock Band2 and wait for them to hit the shelves!!

I'd imagine it will be new ~ i'm hopeing they take cues from real jets ala the f-117 and f-22 ~ with the sawtooth cuts in the design and somethiming more aerodynamic then the classic night raven ~ i love it, don't get me wrong, but it's pretty boxy for a plane that is supposed to go mach 3, lol
samjjones:
Any word on a MARS base or Destro's attack sub?
flash70:
we shall see if these hold up...the sound effects stuff better not be that crap sound attack technology.

Night raven and a big base...it better be good.

    a very reluctant yo...joe.

True. They used the pod concept for the TRU conquest and rattler a few years ago but then they really f'd up that HISS IV. Of course they sort of screwed up the rattler and conquest as well by retooling a missile/bomb holder on each plane to accomodate their lame sound attack weapon crap. Either way I'm betting some modding will need to be done to make the vehicle exactly like its RAH counterpart.

    likewise.

    MOVIE HQ W/ HAWK (PITT!!!)

That's not a bad sized playset. At 15 inches high, I would say there is at least 2 levels. Three if it has a roof! Unless it's one level with a 15" high tower on it. Of course, we don't know if this is a perfect rectangle or if it has angles similar to the original HQ, but I think it's safe to assume it will have a computer area, some kind of motor pool, a stockade, and at least one or two spring-loaded guns on it. I would bet it would even have some kind of "damage" feature. Either something that collapses or a wall that spins to reveal damage.

awesome, now o please let us get a tomahawk also

I think sound attack died with the Spytroops line. It wasn't used in VVV(aside from repacked Spytroops carryover vehicles).

In past q/a sessions Hasbro said that no helicopter(RAH) would be out before the movie. I hope we see the Tomahawk eventually...back when I was 3, I stupidly tore off the propellers because I didn't like the idea of a 2 main rotors. Man that was dumb! When I got older the Tomahawk ended up being one of my favorite helicopters in the joe line!
    Quote:
Ya know what I just realized that yeah it will probaley have my Starto-viper in it! Gawd I hope they paint him neon green or some other "movie" color to make him less appealing grrr this is what I was talkign about merging the 2 lines together to make us buy into this stufff GD! Better yet, no figure included would make my day...
The figure was already in the subdued black with red trim color scheme, so I imagine that already fits in with the movie aesthetic.
Snow_Serpent:
Night Raven? - Where did I miss this news? Is it a reissue or a new mold?

PITT - Are we assuming that it will be a PITT style HQ?

Where did we see this info prior to today?

    I'm confused....
