GI Joe Retaliation Wave 2 3 Packs Sighted

I found these in a Fairview, Oregon Target today.

Wasn't too interested in the Joes as I only want Mouse, but I definitely picked up the Cobra Invasion set.

that dpci is not working for me... I called and they said not in their system... weird

That's odd. I checked and re-checked the DPCI on the receipt and I didn't make a mistake. Could be your area distributors don't have any of those packs in? Don't know how that would work.

I called my Target and they said they had one on the floor. It came up as the Ninja Showdown set. They do have one of the old Ninja Dojo sets on the floor so maybe these new 3 packs have the same DCPI's as the old ones.

It would make sense. It isn't like they are totally different product.

The Target guy just didn't want to look it up :p (Even if the store doesn't have it, it should still be in the computer due to the prior sets)

DPCIs track an ASSORTMENT, not an ITEM. All the 3 packs are (by computer reckoning) "the same thing" (they are the same assortment), so a DPCI code isn't going to do you much good if the store still has a bunch of the existing sets in stock.
Plus west coast tends to get stuff first because they are closer to the docks, so it will probably be a few weeks before areas east might even start seeing them.

But good to know they are hitting, both are solid sets and a great value.

Well, I headed to my Target and had them check. Showed that they had one. Guy brought it out from the back and it was a beat up Dojo Battle 3 pack. Asked to check other stores and they were showing double digits. Went to the next nearest Target that had the largest quantities. Brought the whole case from the back and it turned out to be w1. None of the Targets in SoCal put Retaliation on clearance like the rest of the country. So all they have is $#!+ that's been sitting in the back for the past 8 months. Looks like I have to do the online route for the three packs unless TRU gets them, next month when they're suppose to hit.

The Firefly is in the Invasion set is my #1 Want from this line.

Followed thereafter by a bunch of single pack figures I'm fairly well convinced will never see the light of an aisle.

First w2 Dollar General Joes at Marshall's and now Target's getting w2 Retaliation 3 packs. Dude, this is really starting to suck being a Joe collector in SoCal. When it was first mentioned that they were popping up in Oregon, I checked my local Targets. They even bought cases out from the back and they were all w1 three packs. Unlike the rest of the country Los Angeles Targets never put Retaliation on clearance. They have been sitting in the back rooms for the past 7 months. It's great that stuff is finally hitting stores, but for me I just have to play the waiting game. Considering that the boats from China port here in California, it boggles my mind how the midwest and back east have been getting stuff first the last couple of years.

So Airborne and Mouse are ninjas now too???

Well, if back east is getting them now, Cali will get them next month...that means Hawaii should get them..by next year. Oh well, at least it's paradise here and not freezing like the East Coast.

I got these two days ago at Target in Fairview, Oregon, and today another Oregonian got a set in Bend, so they're trickling in!

Yup, grabbed these sets two days ago at Fairview Target in Oregon. Well, one of them two days ago and the other today.

Once that somebody gets their hands on a Night Force Repeater and we can get some casts of his head, you could slap it on that Mouse figure and have a pretty damn good v.1 look. All you'd need then is the gun from the Iron Grenadier.

I was at my local target today & nada... soon though I'm sure soon. I will get probably get the Joe pack but I really only want the Firefly outta the Cobra one.

I went to my Target yesterday and the whole AF isle was almost bare. Hopefully I can check it out tomorrow. I'll say I have to get some Tylenol for my sick kid.
