WildWeaselZ06:
Well, my wife and I went out for Date night and we went to see Hansel and Gretle. Overall, I ahve to say that I enjoyed the side of the mountain ninja fight and the Hallway fight snippets. I'm not a huge 3-D fan, but for alot of it, I was quite pleased. John Chu and Company, well done. You've won me over.
McSoundwave:
After all these years, I still have yet to seen ROC, but I will head out to watch this offering. It looks to be promising.
chorvacommander:
Here's the preview (not mine). It's not the clearest one out there, but still a bit enjoyable to watch.

G.I. JOE 2 Retaliation New Trailer 4 / Trailer Nuevo 2013 - YouTube
UNDERCOVER:
I love this new trailer. The hallway scene and taking Storm Shadow give me goosebumps, I'm really getting excited. March can't come soon enough.
ShadowNinja:
I hope this part wasnt the best part of the movie and I hope there is another fight between these two in it cause this what I was looking forward to. All the movie I wanted to see was contained in that 3:36 clip. Thanks for saving me 9 bucks.
JoeMama:
I'm pretty sure you will go to jail for posting this. This was illegally recorded in a theater, of which the laws are very clear.
Mods, you should seriously consider removing this.

Stuff like this can cause the site to be blacklisted, and legal action taken against the server owner(s).
Immortal_Joker:
meh
ShadowNinja:
man I just thought it was Mystery science theater.
Troynos:
Nothing all that new. The hallway fight, thats it. Opinion is still the same, caustiously optimistic.
supersonicshion:
Great fight, it looks really fun. But nothing we havenīt seen before though.

Thumbs up!

There is another 9 minutes or so to that scene. Sorry you are gonna have to cough up the nine bucks. Wait 9? in 3d its more like 12 isn't it? and for a matinee we are talking a little less than 8 or 10 for 3D. About the cost of one figure...
ShadowNinja:
When u got popcorn and a wife with you its a lot more. And who the hell is gonna see it in 3d? If the movie wasnt filmed in 3d but instead was converted later I sure the hell am not paying 14 for that.
skinny:
I plan on seeing it in both, they aren't admitting it now but this was supposed to be in 3D from the start.
G.I. JOE 2 Update: Filming in New Orleans this August and It’s Not in 3D | Collider | Page 91818

then it got changed to 2D and now it is back in 3D It all depends on the screenplay.
If the screenplay was written with 3D in mind then it will be no different really.
ero:
They really should have changed Storm Shadow's appearance. That coat is dated and reminds me too much of RoC. Everything else has changed. Why not give him a more ninja vibe?

Also, Ima say it every time: Adrienne's eye-rolling is driving me crazy.
Monkeywrench:
bootleg for the win LOL
Ravage101:
After seeing the whole ninja duo clip, I was really surprised how well it was done. First off the storm shadow and snake eyes fight scene was not this boring drawn out battle, it was pretty damn quick and what was really funny is how Storm Shadow just got tired of martial arts moves and out of frustration went for an all out tackle and school yard brawl type fight...like spoiled little boy (fight Snake eyes is like fighting himself, pointless) thenthe surprise happens where jinx comes up behind him and makes him fall asleep so they can kid nap him...classic GI Joe cartoon moment! Very well done. Then the chase was even better, again just an escape scene right in the spirit of a classic Joe cartoon. This looks like the film will only have a few good scenes in the film but the casting of roadblock and the story behind the new reimagnied roadblock is still too hard to accespt. And Joe Colton...we really couldn't call this guy Gen Flag...seriously. The lame jokes, cheapens the film...and well, the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow stuff looks promising.
Megastar:
I have a feeling the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow scenes in the movie well be the best parts.
teemu8:
I think Quick Kick should of showed up and KICKED both their asses

So true. His outfit blows, they could have done so much more with him, sad.

Same here. I'll probably pony up the dough to see it in 3D. If it's good, I'll go see it in 2D.
cardensb:
Looked good, that made me seasick though... Wife wont see it in 3D. For the record, I like the quick jokes - very much in keeping with the 80's show and comic.
gamingcheating:
Roadblock vs FF twice
SS vs SE
Jinx and SE vs red ninjas
Gen Colton vs Zandar
SS vs Zartan
That's all the fights.
ShadowNinja:
and how do we know this? when does SS take on zartan?

First I don't wanna spoil anything risk of ban. Roadblock does FF twice look in the first trailer you'll their first encounter. SS only fights SE once. You saw 5 out of the fights I mentioned.
ShadowNinja:
well pm and tell me then I dont care about spoilers.

alright
IIIzoeIII:
damn.............I'm gunna say meh too..
the action looks very restrained and not well choreographed..and god I want to scream at mr lee keep your mask on damnit! SS never even took it off in the cartoon at least give us the visual for 5 mins while "fighting"..this has really lowered my expectations drastically.Sorry to drop negs but I have to be honest and give honest feedback which should mean something cause I have been a part of this for 31 years and know of what I speak.
Kaboomskie:
I wanna see grappling and ground fighting between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, none of those sissy katanas and ninja stars. Just pure ground and pound. Let's get it on!

I want this on GIJoe Retaliation. No, I don't wanna watch MMA, but thank you if you wanna bring that up.
Crimson Rage:
Damn, the editing was awful... All the rapid-fire reversals & quick-cuts made me nauseus.
Admiral Snackbar:
Everyday I tell myself to stop reading this negativity. This movie is a miracle for a property on life support. Pure awesome. The convention figures are incredible yet we still get the same negativity. I don't post much but thank god for Tom 1. A true fan that fights the good fight against the old angry nerds
streetfield:
I dont understand all the whining, and to be honest i find it tiring, look at the end of the day,we all by figures and comics..then some people bitch about a fight between 2 ninjas...right,
That sequence looked amazing and photorealistic.
Whats all the complaints about having to pay 14...or saving 9 bucks?
How fxxking cheap...
streetfield:
Im glad and grateful gijoe is back and still on the screen,we should be more supportive of these type of movies, otherwise u will get less of them, also as a teen in the mid to late 80s I always hoped there would be a gijoe film where we see exactly what happens in that temple, and we finally get it.
I personally will see retalliation 5 times, buy all the hot toys on it and some of the hasbro vehicles and figures..AMEN
sn8ke3y3s:
For some reason my movie theater in Madison did not show it! I hope there will be a hi res version of this online someday! I wonder if they will show this during the Super Bowl!
the odinson:
is it not strange for a major gi joe website to front page a bootleg video shot by someone illegally in a movie theater?

I thought so to, but I am not complaining. I don't think the intent was really to support pirating things, but to support Joe and sastify the people that view the site. Eh, i wouldn't have done it, but i don't fault for it either, if that makes sense.
revsears:
I'd agree with others that i don't like the out fit, and that he should have kept his mask on, but overall i still liked what i saw. Fighting is quick and to the point, some people think movies should have episode 1 one like drawn out artsy fights, but that's not realistic fighting, that's ballet.

Yeah, the MODs need to remove the You Tube link. It's been a couple of days, if you haven't seen it by now too bad. I just don't want Hisstank getting into any hot water over this. Paramount is gonna catch on eventually and it's gonna end up badly. I'm surprise You Tube hasn't deleted this themselves.
whitefox360:
As far as geek communities go, the gi joe fanbase has to qualify as the worst. It's as if some of you take pride in refusing to support anything joe related. Normally at retail, now at the movies. I suppose congratulations are in order.

Youve made the standards of 80s army doll collecting SO sophisticated...
Megastar:
I can't believe people are complaining about the fighting choreography in a low quality bootleg video. I agree SS needed a new outfit, SS and SE got new outfits so way not?
skinny:
......
Turtle Master:
Had a bit of kung-fu theater vibe to it, which I like.

I'm hoping for the best and that Hasbro gets some incentive to put more money into the brand with the experience of what didn't work with RoC.
erikyurk:
Kidnapping storm shadow was really cool, didn't see that coming. I was wondering who was in the bag.

I thought the same thing as you. I felt paranoid just watching this clip here.

I agree with you on this one. I used to avoid any post here unless it was about a custom or something from the vintage era. I just get so tired of grown children griping about toys. And the thing that really gets me is when someone pipes in about how they are not going to buy a new figure because is does not look just like the vintage counterpart. What's the point in making a new toy line of you are just going to remake something to look just like something old and outdated?
Not that this would ever happen, but I think that there should be a "Classics" line like MOTUC or the new TMNT Classics that would specifically cater to the collectors who just want remakes of the vintage line, and a line that is aimed at the kids who the figures are really made for anyway. Even if that happened, it's not like we would be able to find them at retail....

Settle down guys.. It's a trailer.

Have you ever heard of anyone going to prison for posting a commercial?

If anything the movie is being promoted.
Steelgrave:
The hallway fight looked like a couple of amateur cosplayers fighting over a Joecon exclusive.
WildWeaselZ06:
Understand folks, that is a 3D trailer, you're seeing a 2D recording. It looks a lot better in the theatre. This movie may be the one thst pusshes me over the edge yo get thst 3D TV I've been looking at. Of course, I'm a shameless GI Joe fan.
