HISS Tank boards member Gyre-Viper has kicked off the new year with several images of upcoming items for G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra, and Jurassic Park themed, repainted G.I. Joe items:
  • Iron Hammer Mechs, retooled and repainted for G.I. Joe & Cobra
  • A.W.E. Strikers in green camo, and desert camo, with drivers in blue, and jungle camouflage
Also making an appearance are the all new H.I.S.S. Tank, unreleased Shadow Hammer Mech, and the Silver Mirage! The Jurassic Park AWE Strikers and drivers feature InGen and JP logos. Without a doubt, these figures are certainly a step up over the current Jurassic Park figures at Toys 'R' Us. Could even more G.I. Joe repaints make it into the Jurassic Park line? Could G.I. Joe pursuit Cobra in Jurassic Park?

Could more retooled Sigma 6 mechs be on the way as well? As evidenced by the Shadow Hammer Mech images seen here, the unreleased Shadow Hammer Mech actually has new parts and some modular weaponry not shown on the retooled prototypes for Pursuit of Cobra. Could those modular weapons be included for final production, or pehaps on more, currently unrevealed mechs later this year? For that matter, the Dragonhawk from Sigma 6 was a popular vehicle, and could actually transport the mechs via a modular attachment port on the bottom. Many a 'Tanker here modified their Dragonhawks to fit 25th Anniversary G.I. Joes, and at some point were able to figure out how to fit 2 25th figures inside! Could a retooled Dragonhawk, able to fit 2 25th Anniversary/Modern Era/Rise of Cobra/Pursuit of Cobra style figures be on tap for later this year? It doesn't hurt that the weapons from the retooled Sigma 6 mechs shown are are actually compatible with the Dragonhawk as well!

    sorry for the delay. had to update the damn mac, eat some spicy basil fried rice with crab meat, and watch some garry shandling.
    anyways... this is going to be 88 pics long... very pic heavy.

    okay... so I've got detailed pics of the Cobra and Joe mechs, the prototypes of the mechs, the cancelled sigma 6 scaled iron hammer (for comparison), the new JP Awe Strikers w/ drivers... also the Cycle Armor prototype and the 2010 Hiss prototype make an appearance along with the canceled ME Silver Mirage prototype... I figured since everyone has seen the mechs by now I'd spruce up my pics just a bit. if the mods want to merge this with the running thread that's cool... (good luck with that by the way pic-wise heheheheh).
    THE PROTOTYPES ARE THE ONES WITH THE COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT COCKPITS... NO FRAMES.
    NOW... the info...
    the cobra driver's mask does not come off.
    the JP driver helmets have a JP on them.
    so that should confirm that these are indeed JP figures
    and were not accidentally placed with these INGEN awe strikers.
    also... the awe strikers are stamped (as pictured) 1985 Hasbro/Bradley.
    I've shown the mechs in their 'tucked' position in the first set of pics.
    as for whether or not the JP stuff is merging with GI JOE...
    I'm waiting to hear back on that. (I'm also digging deeper into 2010 JP stuff to see if there's any other cross pollenation).

    The figures are awesome but the Mechs, not so into them. I wonder if this will be the RoC Wild Weasel or just another trooper in the Cobra army? Is that supposed to be Duke with a Viper vest on? Looks good in Joe colors actually though.

    yup. someone was commenting on the mechs making them think about how bad they wanted the cycle armor in the first sigma thread... so I figured I'd post a pic of the cycle armor again... which made me feel like
    I should put another cycle in there a la silver mirage.

    after all the other companys trying to make stuff thats cool looking i really hope hasbro runs with this movie and the toys if only avatar would have been like this the figures would have been awsome!!

    yeah itz just a proto. the body is the only thing that will remain as far as I know for the finished version (hence the holes in the front).
    I thought it would be a female too. still haven't stumbled upon a finished one (yet).
