From the pics it looks like the canopy won't close with Snow Job inside.
COL Abernathy:
This vehicle is still unimpressive, even this late in the game.

You would be incorrect.
dgnr82:
this looks terrible. no attention to detail. And is that spring loaded weapons making a return. UGH!!!

I hope they aren't all like this..... although my wallet will love the break.
Bernit69:
I hope he doesn't come with Snow Job...I already have this fig. and I'm assuming he was not added for these pics.

It comes with a repainted Snow Job not shown in this set of Pics.

I thought we saw an earlier pic with the canopy closed with the camo Snow Job, but in these new pics the canopy looks like it won't close it looks like it would hit his head. Glad to know it will close

It also looks like there are no changes to this vehicle from the first pics we saw months ago those skis still look horrible and the rest of the vehicle still doesn't look to impressive either.

Can we see the repainted Snow Job then? Thanks for supplying these pics.

Overall, the vehicles alright, not good, but not bad either.
spacemonkeymafia:
Well most of you know Im not a fan of the movie, but IDK something about this makes me like it......
Ewokhunter92:
If you took the vomit from a 5th rate bar's bathroom and molded it into a toy, you'd get this.

There are pics of the camo Snow Job on the Tank somewhere I'll try to find the link. This is like the 3rd time these vehicle pics have been posted.

Judging by the pics of that Rock Slide vehicle prototype, That thing is a piece of sh=t.

Well Hasbro, we all know that your a buisiness and all and don't give a rats ass about releasing things for the collector as long as your making profit, but you just threw away your meal ticket.

Well, to put it plain and simple YOU JUST KILLED GI JOE.

You see it looks like the crappy era of GI Joe vs Cobra, Valor vs Venum, Spy Troops has returned. I see the crappy action/sound attack is back also.

Well its been a nice run w/ the 25th line and it was fun while it lasted.

Now its time for the new crap to take over and I think we all understand why. Because it looks like Hasbro is trying to make the GI Joe brand name reborn again but this time w/ a new generation of kids. I will bet you that Hasbro will probably get McDonalds to promote the movie.

But there still might be some hope left. Us collectors can only hope that the:

the movie will flop
the video game flop
the new toy line will flop

If any of those three things are a sucess and hasbro starts raking in the profits then we are finished for good.

So until then I will see you all in the year 2032 if Hasbro desides to do a GI Joe 50th Anniversary line.

I'm out and it has been a good year.

I'm not saying the whole line is crap as I have yet to see the rest. The vipers looked decent, but this thing just reeks.

Once we start seeing the upcoming stuff, we'll know what direction they are going.

Looks pretty cool..i mean the aesthetic isn't what i thought it would be..but its cool none the less.

I'm one of the Joe fans that likes almost anything joe-related...

I'm wondering if this was presented as 25A if people would respond any different.

So far I have yet to see anything from this line that makes me say "Wow I really want one of those". Granted we have seen only a fraction of what will be released but so far I am completely unimpressed.
CrimsonGuard101:
Unimpressive, your going to have to make the projectiles actually blow up, like a firecraker or somehting maybe some very little teeny bit of C4 so I can blow my fingers off before I get overly excited about shooting missiles....

Hands down worst thing to be shown for the future line, my money is safe with somone elses vision....

as a vehicle from the movie, i think its a nice amalgam of joe fantasy and modern looking tech.
as a toy vehicle from the movie, i dont like the spring-loaded weapons and thank heavens weve not seen that stupidity in the "25th" line.
as a vehcile from the new movie toyline, i could care less. i refuse to collect the movie stuff as i havnt the room for the stuff i have now.

I'm sorry that your hopes of a 25th anniversary Costal Defender and Swamp Masher were crushed. I just wonder if this had been released 25 years ago how many people would be saying something different? I mean it isn't like the beloved Trouble Bubble is that great but how many out there LOVE it? The Fang? Also not my thing but how many of the bashers of the new stuff were searching like mad men when Fang and pods came out? Is this new Rock Slide any less cool than the Stun? Or is it that you are not looking at this from the same eyes you watched the cartoon with. Nostalgia seems to have a great effect on the way we look at things. I mean if we had not grown up seeing the Recon Sled and Havoc every afternoon after school would we want those things today? Yet how many people would giggle like a school girl at the very sight of them?

I for the life of me can't seem to understand how THIS killed GI Joe? The same GI Joe that survived and thrived after Snake Eyes was in a dress! Or how Quick Kick could show up and kick the crap out of Storm Shadow in the middle of a snow storm with no shirt or shoes on. Didn't Bazooka say he had frost bite just before? But because of evolution of the line and a market to the next generation of children (you remember one of those little people you were when you first fell in love with the GI Joe line) the line is dead?

Yes, Hasbro is trying to market this to a new generation of kids. How does that shock you? 25 years ago they didn't market GI Joe to your dad, why would you expect this to be just for you? Or is it too much to ask for children today to grow up with the same joy that we did? I mean the stuff we got fit the times and was a bit advanced. Shouldn't our kids get the same treatment? But you know, your right.... damn the kids! As long as you get your Modern Era Pac Rats your good right?

Here is a thought for you.....
if the movie flops
if the video game flops
if the new toy game flops......... do you think the higher ups at Hasbro will keep investing just so you can get your last six figures and move on to the 25th anniversary ThunderCats line? Or the upgraded Silver Hawks?

Bottom line is if there is a market for new stuff then they will have a reason to keep putting out the old stuff with it.

Spoken like a true fan Echo! I agree with you 100%
If someone does not like this stuff then by all means, you can leave it in the shelf.....I know people will have their own opinions but saying a line is dead because you do not like something? That makes no since at all.

I am sure Hasbro knows that all of the 80,s kids (us) wants more classic stuff. I will live through the movie line and I will pick and choose what I want. I want the kids to get into the Joes, if they do then we will see more stuff for us! It is a win win situation folks. Kids will have their stuff and we will have ours. Hasbro has even stated that classics will be integrated into the movie line.

It sounds like your telling someone to not be a Joe fan if they don't like the movie stuff that doesn't make sense. If I'm wrong sorry, but it sounds that way.

I mean there are people that hate the 80's cartoon yet are still Joe fans. Then some people hate Sigma 6, but are still Joe fans and I'm sure when Sigma 6 was released there were a lot of people on these boards complaining about those toys.

I almost couldn't believe that there were 80's Marvel era Hama G.I. Joe comic haters out there, but there are and IMO the comics are the strongest part of the Joe story to me at least, so when I first read a post about someone hating the old comics I was in disbelief, but hey it is there opinion, so when it comes to the movie and anything movie related it will get worse before it gets better because if some people don't like the old comic or even cartoon and both of those closely mirror the toys then it's not hard to see why people are bashing the movie since from what we have seen so far there are extreme differences in look and story.

I just don't see why the people that don't like the movie are viewed as wrong I mean how can one persons opinion be wrong anyway. I have a wait and see mentality on the movie I hope it is good, but so far I'm a little skeptical and on the toy side most of the movie toy images I have seen haven't been the greatest IMO, but I'm sure there might be something that comes along that is movie related that blows me away.
MSG Duke:
This strikes me as something that will be warming shelf space for a long time to come. Also, a toy this lackluster does not fill me with hope about the quality of the movie.

I agree with you he might have come across a little radical with the death of the line part of his post.

I'm don't want to be one of those "the sky is falling" types, and I'm not inherently opposed to new things. Hell, I was one of the people getting that "trukk not munky" crap thrown in my face because of how much I like Beast Wars. But the fact of the matter is that Hollywood has not done particularly well with remakes of old shows. Hell, they've pretty much just F'ed most of them up. And there is the possiblity that if movie toys are clogging the shelves and not selling that it could delay or even end the 25th line, as the marketing department working on this has not exactly shown a whole lot of intelligence. Now who knows, there is the possiblity that this movie will be a blockbuster and we'll see entire aisles of Joe toys again, but let's face it, Hollywood's track record on this kind of thing is really against it.

This is a known risk and I do have high hopes for the line. I just hope that the toys move as good as TFormers and not as bad as Indy. Heck, I will be happy with an in between the two. It would be cool if they moved like EP3 toys did............that would be awesome.
SNAKE_EYES1975:
Im not to big a fan of how the movie seems to be goin, but hell, I think this looks real sweet. Nice pics of it. It would be better with Snow Job having Matching colors to the sled, but what ever.

And who in the hell knows, This could be the "freebie" in a snow two pack with a completly new HISS or a DTC HISS or something.

As for a sled, I would have had it back in the day, It DOES look cool. Looks like removable missiles, the all now to common Spring fired missiles, but these are CONCEALED NICELY, and add to the look, and even some MG's in the body. No, I think its sweet. and the canopy pretty much covers up the driver...The only thing that could make it better would be a lil spot on the back for Stowage and FOTTPEGS TO HOLD 72 Figures...

This thing is Tight..Go back to the paint room with snow job and make him match those blue colors perfectly, and this will sell..

LMAO! I really don't think the movie flopping, the video game flopping and the toyline flopping will be beneficial to the brand.

Why does everyone hate on hasbro when they do something that "we" perceive as wrong. Do you get mad when your girlfriend or wife doesn't bat 100%. I've come to realize that no matter what happens Hasbro will never get it all right.

But I am happy because....

1) we got 11 good waves, half of the comic packs were good....
2) there are still a few good singles out there....
3) we are getting a video game by EA which will guarantee it to have a shot at it being okay...
4) we are getting a movie that might suck...
5) We are getting resolute, and while I won't collect them , the figures look amazing and if they do a resolute cartoon on adult swim that will be great.
6) though resolute designs for the movie might have made more sense....

I do agree, what we have seen from the pics the movie figures look like crap....but I want to see completed pictures before I start condeming hasbro.

I also agree with you that its a shame to see hasbro miss the mark on certain figures, when they have the molds and parts to make them awesome, but do a bad paint job or use Zartan's chest instead of the hiss drivers chest for Major Bludd LOL! It happens though...

I say let's see what happens before we hate on Hasbro...

It seems like you guys who have moderator under your avatar got a little too worked up about a rant on a message board on the internet. The guys who write those kind of rants are usually lonely and unhappy with every aspect of there lives, much less a toy line. It seems like you would be used to this, and not feel the need to respond so strongly. It's almost like you have some kind of personal financial interest in this movie. If you are profiting from the movie I would like to know how I can become a moderator. I'm going broke buying these toys I could use the extra cash.

I'll tell you why they came strong on the response to that. It's old stinky crap that keep surfacing around here every couple weeks when yet another noob feels the need to hate on the movie (that they truly have no idea about) and claim that said movie is driving them away from collecting and "killing the line." Notice how Destro referred to it as "original." That was sarcasm in case you didn't catch it. For those of us that have been around here for more than a month or so, it's old and it's tired and it's tedious to read it one more time from yet another hater typing out their rear end who doesn't know what he's talking about...

This is a modernized, revamped Polar Battle Bear, no more no less. Haters hate on it because it's associated with the movie. I am glad at least a few guys around here have an open enough mind to give it a fair shake despite their pessimism toward the movie. Kudos to you guys.
vermillion21:
Fugly ... definite pass for me.
vadersquest:
Nicely said Thunderdan. We have no financial ties to the movie but we all AS collectors have an interest in this property. If it does well, we will get more of the stuff we want, if not then not so much. People need to give the movie a chance, heck we have yet to see a trailer for this thing and the constant complaining gets old as he stated. There is a way to express ones feelings without going on a dead horse rant. As far as the toys go, we have only seen 2 pieces, 1 directly from the movie (the other a tie in). Waite till you A- Either see it in the ackage or B- Have it in your hand before you bash it. Give this stuff a chance guys
