I know I am gonna get blasted for this but I really like the look of these. I would like to get a couple sets of these.

I think I like them. Very similar to IG, which is a good thing.

I really do actually like the look of the helmets. Still not sure if I'll buy the toys or army build them or anything, but I think the photos show promise.

This has probably been asked a thousand times but here goes one thousand and one: any idea when a trailer will be made public destro? love all the updates on the new products thanks for all of them, I have been trying to figure up how much I will need on the credit card.

Since reading reviews about the trailer, i have found myself becoming very pesimistic about the movie, but now looking at these two helmets/masks of the guards, i am happy to say my excitement is back.

They look great, cant wait to see full length pics of them.

I will say that while I still feel this movie is gonna be a stinker, and the actual figures of these IGs suck, the picture there looks alright.

I am gonna use these for customs...they are worthless otherwise.

The figures look Ok, but the huge-@$$ weapons bother me. Way out of scale.

Also, while I like the international languages used on the packing it is incredibly limiting to what kind of bios can be put with the figures. Give me the detailed ones any day.

I'm currently in the minority, but the package and out of scale weapons make this a pass for me saddly.

Easy pass for me. The packaging is bland, theres no room for bios on the cards and WHY don't they just cal em iron grenadiers...Mars troopers makes em sound like stange invaders or something from mars. Not only that these things look like something outta a sci-fi channel movie or bad 60's sci-fi drive in feature. So far all the movie stuff is exactly as I had been expecting...bad.

I could be wrong in saying this, but looking at them they seem to be a combo of a Viper/Iron Grenadier
with a removable helmet.
I can dig these troopers. Id have to see them up close to make a final decision though

At least they got it right this time, the trooper is red and the officer is purple. Stupid SRO IG set.

I've often wondered... if Hasbro ever packaged crap and slapped the words GIJoe on the box if it would it sell? Guess we're about to find out.

Should be interesting to see if these clog shelves after the initial "gotta have everything with a GIJoe logo" crowd satisfies their needs much like the revision waves and countless repaints in the 25th line have, and the actual consumer base picks up on it or not.

I guess the pictures are actual pictures of the movie characters. If that is the case the costumes in the film look way better than the toys modeled after them. Those helmets on the figs still have not grown on me, but the live action pics look cool.

I think the designers took their inspiration from that for most Cobra troopers. Notice how many of them resemble Gort or Cylons?

I love the new design, and I don't normally like the kind of ultra slick designs that Hollywood puts out these days. But these have enough grit that I'm satisfied.

I agree with you. For now, I see them as custom fodder. I'd love to see them with a bulletproof vest or something. Thermals aren't good protection. As we know, both IGs and Vipers are heavily armored.

wow, when I saw the figures I though oh crap, but those live action mask/helmet combos are frackin sick! Plus the red one actually looks a bit like an IG. How come they cant make a better action figure based on it?

I will probably wait 'til more photos surface before pronouncing judgment.

Right now I'm pleased with them. I think they'll make nice augmentation to my IG army.

Man...not 100% sold on the movie yet (waiting to see some actual content before jumping one way or the other unlike most folks out there), but the toys look good, and I actually REALLY like those head shots. A lot cooler than I thought they would be. Excellent.

I have a feeling the red masked troopers probably arn't in the movie. I think this is something like when they repaint movie transformers with g1 paint schemes. This is a set colored in a more classic way.

This definately looks like the European release box. I wonder if Hasbro is going to save money & release this box in the U.S. too?

I'm not sad really that a lot of people don't like these.
The movie will bring new fans that will eat these up and if a lot of people here don't get them there will be a better chance for me to find them at retail.

Who am I kidding? To me these are what the IG looked like before they evolved into what we have now. I really like the concept. I will pre-order at least 2 and hope to find at least 2 at retail.

I pray the Steelers get in the Superbowl and I hope the Dolphins win because I don't want to have to play the Ravens again.
