Black Rose: I have to say I'm not impressed with Storm Shadow or Destro. Shawninbmore: I hear alot of negative feedback concerning the appearnace of the characters. We have to keep in mind that these only screensaver type shots. Alot of people had the same feeling about the transformers when they 1st released the images. They didn't look that great in the initial photos(especially Megatron) . They looked great on film though. As far the outfits, would it be realistic if tehy wore the same outfits everyday or in every scene. Remember He-man. breaker....okay, a guy with a mic...kinda what i expected. as far as the outfit...frankly, i dont want any of these guys looking like their 25yr old figure. i suspect our armed forces will be geared light years beyond the vietnam era-esque "greenshirts" come the timeframe of this movie.
im seeing this movie regardless and will not do otherwise because of a bunch of posed pics. is it 100% to my liking so far...of course not. let me tell you the name of a movie that is 100% for me.......................................doesnt exist. chuchu33: I think I'm fine with Eccleston as Destro right now. I just finished reading the issue where they finally revealed Destro's face and it's fine. I can live without Destro being a physically imposing figure. I mean, hell, Dr. Mindbender was a f'n DENTIST before he became the mad scientist, yet he's jacked to the gills in the comics. I always found that really silly. I can't wait to see what he looks like with the "nano-mites" mask.
Storm Shadow, on the other hand, looks like utter garbage. I like that they're keeping the classy suit, but that mask is so... loose. It looks like such a poorly thrown-together last minute "omg i r ninj4 l33t plz" hood. I'm really put off by that initial picture of Storm Shadow with his mask on... I guess we'll have to wait and see if anything better pops up.
I'm cool with the modernized outfits for the Joes. I'm still puzzled why they went with Heavy Duty and not Roadblock for Mr. Eko's role. Breaker needs to look more like a comm. guy, too. Having an eyepiece doesn't quite cut it.

Paramount is going to take its Summer, 2009 tentpole film, upon which they will spend at least $170 million, for which Hasbro is no doubt making scads of toys, and just release it on video because a few whiny fanboys don't like the first promotional pictures. I like the pics I don't know what to say cause afterall they are just pictures and we can't base what the moive will be like on them but I like the look they are going for. Breaker and Heavy Duty look solid and pretty bad ass, I didn't really expect much else to be honest, Breaker is obviously the hi tech guy and the suits are cool.
I think Chris Eccelston is going to nail Destro, there isn't much you can say about the picture really only he's got a evil look about him and he looks pretty sinister too.
Storm Shadow, I love the costume but unfortuneatly his mask doesn't look all that great... but I'll obviously wait until I see how it looks in the movie and not "omg this movie will blow cuz his mask doesn't look super amzing" etc... plus I get the feeling, that he won't be wearing the mask a lot in the film so I dunno.
Great pictures and I'm impressed, oh and the sets look like they could be great too!

Storm Shadow w/mask FTGDMF'NW! So glad he has a mask. He currently looks like the v1 with jacket. Not feeling the shoes though.
