I hated the leaked reviews and feared the already basic overused action plotline was going to get the usual "neighborhood" treatment. For some reason a villian has to grow up with the hero and two villians have to have a close relationship. I would almost expect George W. and Saddam were on the same Tennis team. Isn't total dismissal of something as "horrible" based on a handful of non-descript images a little premeture (yet totally typical of the 'internet', so why am I continually surprised?)? Snowjob00: An irritating part of it to me is that it looks more to be heading in the direction as so many other films casting all young model-like actors, which to me screams that the director has no confidence in his own abilities and relies on the good looks to to boost entertainment value. Why would they elect to have a black man to play the role of Ripcord? To me that is stupid, there is already enough diversity in gijoe and why alter the integrity of the original character development. They should be trying to target accuracy of origin and making a good story already come to life. And if there is in fact a script out there for people to read and HE fits it,,,then I am worried about the movie yes. |
