The new poster sports the "Rise Of Cobra" Title. The Images were taken at the Cinema EXPO in Amsterdam. This time we get to see Ray Park as Snake Eyes.

Lookin' forward to this movie soooooo much! artiepants: i think that's a pretty well done poster. Not crazy about the positioning of "Duke" ~ when you have a sequence of stack words like that and they are all italicized, it makes them look not centered/off balance even when they are actually centered.

Maybe it's part of a 'banner' that's going to feature everyone and each character needs a little room to make way for the next one (if you see what I mean!).
Hope these get done in UK quad format too, as they'd make great desktop wallpaper. WildWeasel: I think it looks pretty sweet. I'm all for this movie. The 'Rise of Cobra' looks like the same font as the Spiderman logos though...but I dig the poster, bring on the rest  RolandofGilead: I like the title. The poster is kind of generic, but of course Duke isn't the most visually interesting of the Joes in this film. I hope its like that through the whole movie, I kind of get sick of seeing super elite commandos running and jumping around with their fingers on the triggers of their rifles. Even the Sigma 6 cartoon had the decency to try to make Duke look more recognizable by giving him a blond flat top not brown hair a buzz cut and a goatee.

A goatee how 90's bad ass | the original Duke doesn't have a flat top, his hair is just short and presumably combed back, so I fail to see how it's absence betrays the image of Duke. I think how his look evolved to include the flat top is a generic tough-guy look that is more indicative of the bad direction the line took later in life, so I am glad to see it gone.
I don't mind people not liking the movie, but at least give sound reason. I still haven't heard a single one that holds up to any scrutiny. Gung.Heaux: and notice where the periods occur....after G & I only......makes it more "Govt. Issue" than "Global Integrated". |
