I'm hoping this shows more behind the scenes stuff and some of the non-Rock actors giving their insight. I want to hear more from Elodie Young, Bruce Willis, Ray Stevenson, and DJ Cotrona.

Me too, but I bet the ratio of screen/interview time will be:

Elodie Young: 1%
Bruce Willis: 2%
Ray Stevenson: 1%
DJ Cotrona: 2%
Adrienne Palicki: 2%
Chu: 5%
Rock: 43%
Tatum: 43%
Other: 1%

Or thereabouts.

When and where can I see this Feautrette? or I should just wait for the Blu Ray? How long before it's on you tube?

No no. You don't have to wait till Bluray. It's coming out before February ends, I believe (may be even before January ends).

The home release will happen on August as I heard. Will let you guys know of the exact date as soon as I hear it.

not the movie, the featurette. it will be shown in theaters along with various other trailers and commercials before the movies released in February

If you click on the "Alberta Film Ratings" link in the article, it goes to their page and shows a date of 1/7/13. I assume this is the date it starts showing??

Does anyone know where there are "Alberta" movie theaters??? Never heard of them...

It is a site designed for parents and movie goers in Alberta Canada to let them know what trailers etc are showing in the Province. Its a government site.
SilverOptimus:
I have to clear few things...

Indeed, Alberta Film Ratings is a government site and is 100% accurate. The date is the day the Trailer got rated.

The Featurette will go live soon, between now and the release.

The home release as I heard will happen in August 2013. I don't know where you guys heard about a June 2013 release. Can someone point me to the source?
Jinx723:
I really hope the DVD/BD is released in August. Releasing it in June/July is gonna hurt sales going up against summer movies in the theaters. August and even September is much better, closer to the Holiday Season push.

A squad of big films that were held from 2012

"...A four-minute scene in 3-D that went over well when it was unveiled in Asia (to take advantage of popular South Korean actor Lee Byung-hun) will premiere in theaters showing Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters on Jan. 25."

Thanks for the heads up. Crossing fingers it isn't the oft-mentioned mountain ninja battle extravaganza scene that has been in every trailer.

But it has Hawkeye, Jean Grey and the yummy Gemma Arterton.
JediJones:
Hansel and Gretel actually looks like it has the playful sense of humor and satirical attitude that classic '80s Joe media had but in which the Joe movie franchise is sorely lacking. But I'll be happy to check out the Joe trailer on Hansel and Gretel and give them a chance to prove me wrong.
CrotchKnockerX:
I forgot there was a movie coming out
rdodger:
I drove an hour to see The Hobbit in IMAX 3D so I could also watch the 10-minute Star Trek preview. When I got there, a sign on the door said the Trek preview was not being shown. (I wanted to see the Hobbit anyway, but not in 3D) So anyone looking for the Joe preview might want to check before buying a ticket for the H&G movie.
DPrime:
Cool, but no way will I watch Hansel and Gretel for it.
SilverOptimus:
DESTRO:
That was awesome!
dragon:
this movie needs to be 3d for what reason to fit into overrated 3d crap?

that clip is in 2d im more excited about this film than ever cant wait for its release after that clip new ninja weapons lokoing forward to it but give us cobra commander voice will he speak in film or be big dictatcor mime

hansel gretal i may go see i like fariy tale twist with dark stories
Steve T:
OK, that was very cool.
Steelgrave:
Remember back when everybody was worried that Jon Chu couldn't direct an action movie? Pretty funny after seeing this. I'm not interested in this movie but I have to admit, that ninja mountain scene was really cool.

Snake Eyes shooting every ninja star perfectly? Not so cool. I wish they would STOP making Snake Eyes out to be some kind of super hero from another planet. Save that shit for The Man Of Steel.
theprocess:
Maybe I'm biased since I'm on a GI joe forum, but if I was a kid I would think this looks pretty damn cool. I'm an old man and those extra few seconds got me stoked for march.

unless that's the best part of the movie and the rest is just a caravan of chevy cars driving down a desert highway.
turner:
They need to do a movie accurate vehicle toy: THE ELCAMINO!
Jinx723:
That was f***ing AWESOME!!!
I can't wait to see Retaliation. Now just get the fracking toys in the stores, already

LOL
That's what the internet is for. To talk $#!+ about something before it's even out. I really hope it makes some serious money to guarantee another Joe Movie.
esg2145:
I hope we did not just watch the best 3 min of this movie and then that's it..................................... :(

(still holding my breath)
SilverOptimus:
I have complete faith in this movie.
Nirvana:
Something has changed, it says it's not available for viewing in my country.
revsears:
same here, can't see it.
Colt Blue:
I agree with SG's comment that SE is portrayed here a bit too much like a super hero, almost like he has Jedi power of the force but is a cool scene still. A deeper more interesting character has flaws and a vulnerability to overcome.
Typhis:
If it can't be watched then its worthless....DELETE IT

We fixed the link. For some reason the first trailer was taken down.

This movie looks like it will be a lot of fun to watch.

That's exactly what he was in the latter days of the comics.
07GT500 COBRA:
At least they didn't put the Willhelm scream in for the red ninjas.

...yet. I'm guessing it'll be there in the actual movie.
Dreadnok Rocksteady:
I hope there is a wilhelm scream or two in there!

That trailer was EPIC! I love it! To be fair, Snake Eyes is a bit of a fiend, and if he went full auto on them shuriken he would take 'em all out!

Wilhelm scream is old and played out and frankly annoying now. I used to get a kick out of it until EVERYONE besides Lucas and Spielberg started using it.

I am thinking the 11 minute homage is the mountain scene more and more. This trailer reinforces that theory for me.
Fox:
After every trailer I've seen for this I keep thinking this is two separate movies. One a shoot 'em up staring the Rock & Bruce Willis and a second movie about Ninjas. I hope it all blends together in the actually movie.
46 Zone:
Any chance Hasbro makes an El Camino 1/18th vehicle for this movie?
NCR_Ranger92:
This trailer looks freaken stupid. Im getting realy tired of all this Ninja propaganda BS! Last time I checked this was a military themed brand not a japanese anime. Im no longer excited for this movie.
eddy-arashikage:
This movie is going to be Epic!!!

Where Have you been Ncr ranger, Gi joe is a Clandestine Group of Individuals from all walks of life plenty of ninjas since it's conception, ask one of the regulars on here for a brief rundown of the history of GI joe seing as how this is a Joe fan site and all.
CG23:
One of my jobs is managing a movie theatre and I watched the featurette tonight. SPOILER for the featurette: Opens with a greeting from Dwayne Johnson. Then an extended scene where Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes fight as well as a extended look at the mountain fight with the Red Ninjas. A new quick glimpse of Cobra flags on the white house as well as a quick glimpse of Cobra Commander. Then usual trailer stuff we have seen already and a lengthened look at a Bruce willis scene.

Im still hopefully this will be a good Joe-wise movie. Cautiously optimistic even lol
fireflyguy:
Aw man! I wanna see Hansel & Gretel so bad!
