I'm hoping it's someone else who'll get a voice over by someone else,cause when you have 2 actors for 1 character, it creates a great character, just like george lucas did to create Darth Vader.

The roll can be play by anyone, while the voice could be voiced by the actor who did the Cobra Commander voice in Valor vs Venom.

Never doubted he'd be in the film in some capacity - Helmet type? Doesn't bother me. As far as I'm concerned, he doesn't suddenly stop being Cobra Commander because he changes his hat.

Not sure who would make a good CC, and i guess it doesnt really matter cause they'll be behind a hood, a chrome face plate with helmet. But it would be totally awesome to see the armored CC in the 2nd movie.

Snake Eyes had very little to do with Storm Shadow in the Sunbow era. SS was paired against Spirit.

That, but battle helmet is more practical. The hood is classic but if they won't do both, I go with battle helmet.

The hood would be lame in live action form. Either way, it's good news to see the return of the Commander for the sequel. You people are getting way ahead of yourselves with all this wishful thinking regarding his look.

For all we know Cobra Commander's prison break comes in the last 10 minutes of the film. He's doesn't get a single line during the escape. We have to wait for the 3rd movie to see who gets the part.

Because Levitt had such HUGE shoes to fill...no. Get any random guy off the streets who can do some kind of voice that is a mix of insane, and evil, then throw a helmet on him and it'll work.

Not that the first movie was based in reality, but...

If Cobra Commander is in prison in the real world, he would'nt have a hood or a mask. The only way he would have head gear is if someone broke in and gave it to him, only to break him out again. I for one hope it is reality based and you have a maskless CC escaping in an orange jumpsuit... but I do realize its a movie and not based in reality!

Levitt would be fine if he ditches the wannabe vader voice along with the fishbowl helmet garbage and his darth vader esque breathing apparatus life support suit...

I'd take 100% rendition of the battle armor cobra commander over of the current forms of Cobra Commnader...they should have done a POC version of him anyways...it is more in line with where cobra would be at this point and would have looked awesome for the cobra vipers from ROC 1 instead of turtle viper corps....

Just give me a bunch of regular looking vipers/roc elite vipers and a battle amror cobra commander and were golden...

I don't know how I remember this, but in the old Ninja Force tv commercial, it was pronounced "Ch-BANG."

I hope Aaron Eckhart plays Cobra Commander, but does it with the Sunbow voice.

And the ROC accelerator suits are not lame? What would you want to see? A direct copy of ROC Darth Commander? It dosent get anymore LAME then that lol...so anything will be an improvement...

The accelerator suits were featured in one action sequence and not throughout the movie. And why the hell would a human being hiss unless they were mutated with a snake. The fact that his mask helped sustain him and altered his voice made more sense. Until now, I never considered the Commander's voice sounding anything like Vader's and I still don't hear it now.

Funny how I often get labelled "superficial" for enjoying THE RISE OF COBRA, yet detractors continually bang on about the "fishbowl" and how the film would have been "better" with superficial costume changes.

He will prob sport the hood if the warden of the prison confiscates his fishbowl helmet and he wants his face covered.

As long as the voice over is good, it doesnt matter who in under the mask.

I must say... what a brilliant idea.

Didn't he HAVE to wear that fishbowl to help him breath? They can always update it to something that looks better, but I think they've already established he has a medical condition that requires some sort of Vader-esque device.

And tweaking costumes and characters to at least have a little ARAH resemblance isn't shallow and it's not whining. It would have gone a long way towards connecting what GI Joe is with what they put in the movie. It's no different than having a Fantastic Four movie with Dr. Doom as some smarmy business guy who doesn't wear his classic hood and helmet at any point in the movie. When we're talking comic book and toy characters, the costume makes the character.

I mean when someone goes to the slammer they take all your gear away.
