"I'm definitely on board if they do another one," Quaid said in an exclusive interview. "I don't know if they have a script yet, but I'm definitely interested."
Fans may have had some issues with Stephen Sommers' summer blockbuster G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, but the hard, cold facts are undeniable: That "real American hero" has raked in almost $300 million this summer, and Joe will absolutely be back for an encore.
Yet Quaid wants in under some conditions:

The suit on a horse sounds like an extremely lame idea though obviously. I'm game for Hawk having more action scenes though aka Indiana Jones style showing Duke how it's done. I loved how, when the PIT was invaded and Zartan murdered 'that Joe' (well, some people may not have seen it yet!), he didn't stop in shock or mourning, but punched Zartan out without hesitation.

Now if they did something like Star Trek Generations where William Shanter road his horse around in the country, I would invision a similar scene for Quaid. Perhaps Cobra could be attacking the general's estate and he has to do some fancy cowboy equestrian moves to save his ass. That would be cool.
This accelerator suit crap is crap.
They don't want to tempt me to say I will not go and see G.I.Joe2 but if they do stupid shit like that, you can be your asteroids I will not go. thairestauranteur: Quote:

Jmacq1: Well, they've already hinted that the accelerator suits might not make a comeback for a sequel, or if they do will be significantly redesigned. They were expensive to animate and highly uncomfortable for the actors.
Though unfortunately for the anti-accelerator suit crowd, that sequence was also the most highly-praised action sequence of the film, so that might change their minds, but who knows?
Still, as someone way up there said: Give Hawk a streamlined accelerator suit with a jet-pack and I bet even the old-schoolers will think it's pretty cool.
I also agree that giving Hawk a beefier action scene or two in the movie would be great.
Heck, they've got a built-in way to get Hawk out of the PIT: Zartan-as-President uses his pull to get the Joe team shut down. Instant less PIT. (That'd probably help trim the budget, too). Then Hawk can lead a bunch of Pit Commandoes and the like to retake it after Zartan's allowed Cobra to use it as their own headquarters. ;)
Not that any of this will likely show up in the script, but hey, it'd be cool if it did! Stuart_Selkirk: Of course he wanted to underline that his character should see more action. He didn't actually mean to put Hawk on a horse. Steel: Respect the Hawk! Give Quaid some action scenes other than a punch and a knife wound in the gut! aussietrooper20: He should be proud to get the role as General Hawk, and in the next film, he should fight out of there base and on American soil in a Jet and also a Tank and in a Devilfish.
If he wants to ride a Horse, he should quit this role and play in:
1. Bravestarr
2.galaxy rangers
