All New G.I. Joe Pursuit Of Cobra HISS Tank And 4 Wheeled Joe Vehicle Prototypes

The "Vamp" I took a LOT of pics of because everything is pretty much interchangeable (to the point where I'm not sure if I even put things in the right place hahahahaha)... itz severely versatile and I wouldn't be surprised if it came with multiple figures and a lot more accessories.
My proto only came with 4 wheels. I'm pretty sure the final version will come with a spare. Hopefully my pics are useful and not confusing.

The HISS isn't as large as I thought it would be. It has a rear trap door and the button on top is obviously what you use to make it pop up from
itz crouching position. I would have called it The Haunch.

The mock up I just threw in cuz I got it with everything else.
some people like to see mock ups... others don't. so itz in there if you're interested.

Yeah, I'm digging it. From what we saw at the Con, it looked pretty cool. I think the one they had used some pre-existing parts. I'm interested in seeing what the new one will look like. At any rate, I'll probably buy a couple at least.

Not at all, this is something that's actually been experimented with in the form of real combat vehicles. It might have even gone into production at some point, although I'm not sure about that... my memory's fuzzy.

The concept was always about using that aspect in more of a defensive role. You'd "dig in the tank" or find a berm or something to hide behind, and the turret/gun would be able to rise up to fire over the cover, and go back down for cover/protection.

I don't remember what the driver looked like but I'll probably use classic HISS jockies anyway.

I'm definitely going to try to get at least two. I think it's a nice update that really gets back to the "HIgh Speed Sentry" role.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see the Resolute HISS show up as an "Armored HISS" or something, but the new design looks pretty keen to me. Curious to see what the driver looks like.

I want to see the final version first before I make up my mind. I like the design but the mess that was the HISS IV, with it's pop up cockpit, still lingers in the back of my brain.

I need to see a better picture then that before I make a decision

Real treads! Seriously Hasbro should of done that along time ago. New Hiss looks interesting.

Not a fan. Firmly believe they should have just made with the Resolute design.

I'm excited for it as well. It's kinda of a stretch from the old hiss but the design reminds me of a slim down version of the resolute hiss.

That looks like it was made using the helicopter from the Rhino and LEGO pieces for the treads, so it's obviously a REALLY early mock-up. It'll be interesting to see what the production piece might look like.

Is that the prototype? Why is it partially constructed with Lego pieces (specifically the treads and chassis)?

It looks menacing and that should be one of the key factors to any Cobra tank. Looking forward to a 4-seater jeep. I could have easily given up the pop-up cannon on the Steel Crusher in trade for a 4-seater Hummer with sliding roof that doesn't make me think I'm going to break the toy whenever I pull the roof/shield forward & down.

Precisely. All I saw was a bunch of black in front of a guy doing a "Tada!" pose.

At 1st, I hated it. It is really growing on me. The treads I think are awesome.

I gotta see more of it before I make up my mind. My initial impression from the pics at Joecon was "Star Wars vehicle." But I'll give it another shot.

Hmm, that kinda sucks. The reason I don't incorporate Star Wars vehicles into my Joeverse is because no matter what you do to them, they still look like Star Wars vehicles.

i think what will veer it into SW or Joe is the paint... cuz as a proto it looks
VERY SW... not that the overall sculpt etc doesn't make it look SW... but
if they just add some grey paint and some decals... itz gonna look like
a Biker Scout joy ride. if they 'hiss it up' you may be in the clear of
not having a place for it in your 'verse.

Real treads didnt work out so well for the BTR Hiss so unless than can change/modify it to keep the treads from slding off, it may be more troublesome.

Yeah, it resembles an AT-something something. They did the art in a pine forest as well, only adding to the Ewokness of it.

RoC/PoC are all over the place. Zartan i.e. Raptor looks like an Indiana Jones/Conan Villain, the jungle vipers resemble mechas, Ripcord looks like something out of MGS. and who knows what else they have planned.

I like it. It's a nice reimagining of the HISS. It won't replace my old ones, but it will be a nice add- on to the legion.

I do need to see more pics but the lines of it are sexy and I am happy so far with what I see there.

kinda reminds me of the hisstank in the gi joe video game. think that were it came from.

I want several of these tanks. It will look good with my Neo Viper army.

Bit too lopsided looking for my tastes. All thick up front and flimsy in the rear. Maybe a more developed one will suit my tastes.


But if it can be used as an ewok chaser I may just need one.

I just got my Master Collector mag. The new HISS is awesome. It will hold a driver and a gunner. It is black and the sticker sheet allows you to give it the original numbers of 788 or number it differently to your liking. The damn thing is a total beast. My only concern is the main body pops up after you hit a red button behind the cockpit. They were kind enough to add in a mock blue print show casing how it functions. One question. How much is it going to cost? It looks pretty good size. I will probally get 5 or 6.

What is this other vehicle mentioned on the first page?

I welcome it, but I've always found the classic's design so elegantly simple and iconic, it's hard not to be critical of a newer version.

The uncolored pics I've seen look too unfinished, and the others are dark and blurry. I don't remember seeing one that wasn't extended either.

Realistic treads are awesome! I may prefer the MOBAT style of treads, rather than the kind that sits inside of the rims. Maybe that keeps them on better?

I'm sure it will be cool though. I'd like to see a classic HISS given the deluxe treatment, with treads and opening panels like the DTC version.
