Whenever Hasbro apply for a Trademark at the United States Patent & Trademark Office, it usually means we get to see a toy real soon. While there may not have been many G. I. Joe Trademarks recently, Transformers Trademarks are proving this point.
HISSTANK finds out that USPTO has received new trademark applications from Hasbro on 8th November, 2012. Breaking a long silence… it’s G. I. Joe.
First Trademark is Heavy Duty (Trademark Number: 85774331). It appears as though this may very well be a G. I. Joe: Retaliation trademark. But can’t tell at the moment.
The next three however, we can clearly tell what they are for…
ACTION MARINE (Trademark Number: 85774333)
ACTION SAILOR (Trademark Number: 85774334)
ACTION PILOT (Trademark Number: 85774335)
… No doubt it’s the Hasbro 12 Inch Line.
All four trademarks are classified under : “Toy action figures and accessories for use therewith” and you can take a look at the documents at USPTO by clicking on the Trademark Numbers above.

why would Hasbro even bother with 12" figures when Sideshow is blowing them away with their Joe line...Why would anyone even look Hasbro's way
oh that's right,Hasbro is catering to the cheap bastards who whine that they can't afford Sideshow.

Who says the trademarks are for the 12'' inch line? (Of course, they could be) GI Joe's 50th anniversary is coming up in about 13 months. Maybe they plan on 4'' versions of their first Joes?

If they do them as well as they did the 30th and 40th anniversary stuff I'll definitely be one of the "too cheap for Sideshow figures" buying them lol. As long as they actually hit retail like the 30th ones did in 1994. Those sets were really well done other then the HOF bodies. A ME set of the originals would be cool to. I always regret not getting the 3 and 3/4 Action Soldiers, Pilots, Marines, and Sailors back then.

We'll just have to wait and see then. Happy to see at least there are new Trademark Applications. It's been a while.

Not big into 12" figures, aside from maybe the Sideshow Jason Voorhees stuff. Pass.
