Rise of Cobra The Pit Command Center Custom DIO

I built this a few years ago, when the ROC movie was out. I always thought the control room in the PIT was pretty cool and wanted to make my own. It's pretty much the only custom thing I have made, but I thought it was cool and wanted to share it. Some of the panels have started to come loose, but I'm not sure I can take it apart to repair it without doing damage. For the time being I have decided to just leave it be. One other neat detail...Although you can't tell in the pics, all of the chairs are mounted on wood bases and have dial pins that allow them swivel. In the background, you can see bits of pieces of my Joe room, I want to do a post showing that too, but everytime I try to upload pics from it, they fail or I get an error message. Hopefully I can get that issue worked out soon so I can share my room with everyone. In the meantime, hope you enjoy the command room.

What's the brand of your printer?

Would love to see some figures in it. Looks right out of the movie. If something like this could be produced and add on rooms could be sold seperate, it would be a hit. This is how all futrue Joe bases should be made.

It's just an HP photo printer, using photo paper and highest setting.

The screens are all results of google image searches. I typed in things like green radar or green laser and just saved images I liked. Several of them are actually phone screen captures. Then I printed them on photo paper using the highest quality setting. and then mounted them on poster board to give them added depth. I had planned to do a similar cobra base as well, and have a lot of red and blue screen images for them. maybe someday....

Oh, excellent display's in the background also... I saw the door to the room and shelf's and it looke's just like my interior door (and shelf with Joe's on it), I was like "WTF?".. lol

Very nice work indeed. Acouple of years ago i played with an idea like those panels but lit up. I had some pictures of radar screens and such applied to peel off stickers. Placed it on a thin plexiglass or polycarbonate and had a thin white or black sheet behind that and used mini LED lights to light it up. Iwas planning on using it for retrofitting some models, but never got around to it.Fiber optics work well too.

im building a terradrome and a cobra mobile command center. so far they r looking good, still have alot to do on both.

Was sceptical when I saw ROC, but this set up is pretty badass. Great work!
