Custom ARAH Cobra Alley Viper

CustomAlleyViper002
Your fellow HISS tanker jaimanstone made this custom ARAH Cobra Alley Viper.

"The Alley Viper has always been a favorite of mine.
An excellent concept, sculpt and execution.
But poor color choices. I took one of my Neon orange Alley Vipers and fully painted him.
I was inspired by Kevin Watts' POC Alley Viper that he did here:
A Real American POC Alley Viper
Kevin was really helpful as I put this one together.
So a big thanks to him as this was only my second painted figure."

Anyway, Alley Viper:

Clockwise:
That thing sizzles. What a difference the right paint applications can make. The little details, like the gunmetal boot laces, make the whole repaint scheme rock.
Troops of Doom:
Great paint, perfect for night ops.

I admit the original colors are bizarre but I still like them.
Attila:
Very impressive paint, i best like the shield
Viper6:
see, most miss that he wears neon orange as a "FU" as in "i aint hid'n bitch ...im here on business...die mother fkr die mother fkr die!" brrraaapppp brrraappp brrraaappp
RATFINK:
love this not enough arah stuff around Love it indeed!
samantha:
That looks great.
Snow Wolf:
As much as the original's orange & blue would appeal to little kids, your choice of a darker colour scheme is much cooler looking, and tactically, makes waaay more sense.
Malcolm:
I would of liked to have seen the similar camo patter in the colour scheme, but maybe a different tone for the vest and pouches painted as they are.
Non the less great arah custom.
jaimanstone:
Thanks guys!
titanate:
Wow--this really does rock. I wouldn't have thought so had I not seen it with my own eyes. I love this!
TTT:
That is one HELL of a 2nd painted figure.

Front paged
BigErn:
Fantastic, it's amazing all the detail that shows up after a nice paint job.
KingBiohazerd:
Awesome work man he turn out great!
Gyre-Viper:
Putting Kevin's name on it makes it worth at least $1,000.
At least that's what I heard.
thomasseeber:
AWESOME!! well done mate, feels so good to see an O-ring on the front page!

love the scheme and the detail. you did a great job. now paint 10 more and a matching Rage, I wanna see a squad
rip_cord:
that looks good, nice work!
Tim 121RVC:
Awesome!
Frontpage is well deserved.
AirborneRigger:
Love it!
Beckley:
He's wicked awesome, congrats on the front page!
kneroh:
Congrats on the frontpagememship!!!!! Well earned Jai!
Cobra Terrorist:
Man...It's amazing what a different color scheme will do.

Looks awesome, Jai. Great job, and congrats on being Front Paged!
Jettfire:
Unbelievable job. My favorite part is how the colors now accentuate what is really an awesome sculpt with a ton of detail. I love the OG neon orange, but a lot of the detail gets lot under all of that brightness.
spacemonkey:
What type of paint did you use? Acrylic or Enamel? I always wondered if Enamel paints could be used on the ARAH figures due to the harder plastic. Trying to find a paint that doesn't chip is a real challange. How did you keep your edges so straight? I thought about using liquid mask. Great work. Can't wait to see more!

And since it is ONE OF A KIND it will certainly go for far more!!!! He should get a bunch of guys together in his garage and call it a convention.

Nice work, Jared, and thanks for the shout out!
Dealer Destro:
Ah haha man I thought I was posting in yours but ended up posting in the other one.... but I will post this again here:

This ^ about sums this one up....
CG23:
Very nice! I really like the color choices.
Stormhowler:
I didn't like the original Alley Viper paint job. The job was designed for camo in San Francisco or Las Vegas. I got the 1993 Battle Corps figure and though I'm not a big fan of yellow when mixed with black made a good paint job. I missed getting the 1997 Alley Viper with the best paint job, but I did get two of the 2002 Alley Vipers with a good paint job.
As for the POC Alley Vipers i am quite happy that I managed to get at least a squad of them for any dio scenes I can make.
ShockVal:
Stone Hymen! Excellent work man. I really dig that shield. He would look good leading a group of Crimson Shadow Gaurd.
